The citizens of WA gathered almost $700,000 to stop this from coming up on the ballot yesterday. Even had a lawsuit filed.

Once the NRA saw that there was all the leg work done and the lawsuit might win, they spent about $200 (below gives all the actual amounts I cant remember off hand) to file an identical lawsuit and piggy backed off the original then pocketing all the money they raised to join the fight and took the credit.

FUCK the NRA, the NRA is a bunch of turncoats and worse than the left if you ask me.

I-1639 also will enact a storage law. Gun owners who don’t secure their firearms with devices such as a trigger lock or safe could be charged with gross misdemeanor or felony “community endangerment” crimes for allowing prohibited people (such as children) to access and display or use the weapons.

Proponents of the measure said I-1639 would address the root causes of many mass shootings and generally help to reduce gun violence.


(25) "Semiautomatic assault rifle" means any rifle which utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and chamber the next round, and which requires a separate pull of the trigger to fire each cartridge.

I really hope for the day all gun owners from all walks of life and creeds can put down whatever differences they may have about other things and come together as a movement and demand the protection of 2A rights. This law is a SERIOUS infringement that has far reaching and possibly unintended consequences for a lot of people and causes.

I was starting to get some hope after this Pittsburgh shooting, I was seeing increased posts and tweets by lefties and even SJW types saying it's time for minorities and leftists to arm themselves. That's exactly right. Once they actually start using and educating themselves about guns and taking responsibility for themselves they might start to see the light in other areas.
