I am commenting on the scenario at hand. No "like" situations. No what of, could haves. If the guy with the gun would have re- holstered or attempted to get up, do you think the assaultive thug would have just walked away?

The threat is in the eye of the beholder. The guy thought there was an impending threat to serious bodily harm. I will not second guess what was in his mind.

By the way, in your scenario, my wife was assaulted, in this real life situation, the guy did nothing but throw words. Words are harmless. He was attacked, regardless of what the shooter may or may not have said.

What I'm saying since you have a history of not liking scenarios is that at the very moment when he drew from the ground and the pusher backed away, his life wasn't in imminent danger at that very second since he could have shot him anytime the pusher came at him. The pusher never did.

What he did was line up his sights and then take the shot. While he was lining up his sights, the attacker was nowhere near him.

The scenario I gave you is very similar to what happened. But since you didn't like the throwing of the drink in the face, scratch that and just keep it at words. From your own words you always comment on what you would do when these things come up. Does that guy have a justifiable reason to fear for his life and kill you?

But if you or the mouther decide to get physical and one draws on the other to stop the attack and the draw does stop it (at least in that very second where one backs away), should the one that drew line up his sights 3 seconds later and fire or wait to see if there is further advancement?

And as the missus has one, and we use it, I still say so. It's pretty cool, but saving 70 or 100 feet is not such a big deal for a person in a wheel chair.

And although the missus qualifies, legitimately, the extra feet would not be a huge deal. Not worth the bureaucratic hassle.

I just seen a report of a 14yr old getting shot and the ruling was a self defense shooting .. but the kicker is ..
the guy and the kid were on the corner to buy drugs and the 14yr old pulled a gun to rob the older guy ..
the older guys pulled his .. well the kid got shot .. no shooting charges on the older guy even tho both would doing illegal shit to start with ..
