What other lights are you comparing Modlite’s runtimes to? You can’t compare a 300 lumen light with 10,000 candela’s runtimes to something that’s completely different. I’m pretty sure Modlite doesn’t hide any runtime numbers...the runtimes are right on the products page’s, I just checked.
It’s a great video. Like I said before, if you know the techniques and do it properly you’re good to go. Most people haven’t trained enough and don’t grasp all the concepts of it...and it shows. Which is fine but get out there and train, that’s all. Everyone should always be trying to get better.

I don’t know exactly what you’re getting at. What exactly are you trying to infer? I’m not busting your balls, I’m honestly trying to figure it out. I’m not being vague about any information I give and can state the stats that I can easily find that you say they hide. So what about Modlite’s do you think is a lie? I’ve actually seen reviews where the Modlite’s exceed the suggested runtimes. Are you referring to runtimes? Light output? What exactly are you saying isn’t true or that you’re skeptical about? This forum is for everyone to learn and it won’t happen if there are no healthy debates.
When we were shooting with flashlights (non-weapon mounted) a few people had malfunctions they induced from their grips. We had to shoot with a separate flashlight and do all of the different grips. My preferred was the Harries method. The Chapman was alright too. But these are things you cannot get from watching videos. I say watch the videos then get out on the range and try them. Clearing stovepipes and other malfunctions in the dark as well as mag changes (finger leads the way on the top round) in the dark while stowing the light and even tactical reloads stowing the light and magazine were great things to learn how to do. It's a lot different when you're actually doing it. You quickly learn what you have to focus on.
I remember their runtime was pretty low on the one I looked at when comparing it. Some others will advertise lumens then the fine print will tell you it's only that bright for 30 sec then it dims. Not claiming anyone is a liar. Just make sure you're reading and getting what you think you are.
I have a Modlite and REIN. They both have pretty decent runtimes. I can absolutely tell you that the lights don’t dim after 30 seconds of usage. If you were comparing an 18350 Modlite to say the average 18650 Surefire, than yeah. You’ll obviously see a huge difference because the 18350 battery is almost half the size. Most of the time you’ll see approx. 1.5hrs out of 18650 mwl’s. Compare that to Modlite’s PLHV2’s & OKW’s approx. 1.25hrs. A slightly lesser run time which is expected when you have a light using the same battery but out performing and pushing more output. Check the candela ratings on all the lights you’re looking at and then compare them to a PLHV2/OKW/REIN...they all outperform Surefire or really any other wml out there that is duty rated with features for proper pressure switches and light mounts. Here’s a screen shot from Modlite’s site, the runtimes are right on the first page of the product in the same size print as the rest of the information given.
