Awesome, did you apply for hunting and target? I just put target, wonder what mine will say.

... since you got Target and Hunting , now go buy your hunting license and carry every day .,. woodcuck hunting is all year .. even in winter.. just hard to find one out .. there very elusive in the winter but you never know .. one could pop his head out ;) LOL

i have my hunting license. had to fill out my hunting license info on the 'sport hunting' form when i submitted for pistol permit. and had to submit a copy of hunting license as well. [Reference Link : Sport Hunting ]

but i hear ya ;) and thanks for the tip.

Thought this would be helpful for everyone I called pistol permits the day they reopened 6/16/2020 I had my interview 7/16/2020. I used moneygram - money order was cashed 8/13/2020. Permit was issued and signed 8/26/2020. Received in mail on 9/1/2020 and picked up permit same day in White Plains.

I knew the office reopened 6/16/2020 because I emailed them and they told me. I am hearing now from a good friend who recently called within the last month that they scheduled him for appointment next August 2021. Thanks.

Under 3 months start to finish his nuts. Sounds like you got real lucky.

Nice. Wishful thinking that the backlog is easing. 55 days to about 70 days. Still waiting since I submitted mine back the 1st week of October. Maybe any day now. I see that you can make pickup appointments with the Westchester County Clerk's office on-line with virtually no waiting involved, even same day in some cases.

Just for grins and giggles, I called them today to find out when are the next available appointments. It's now 2022 for first time applicants. The demand for long guns will be outrageous, but maybe that's the point.....
