So, someone just sent me this.....(yes they REALLY did!!!)


"I just heard they're cutting off all sales of guns and ammo in NYS and ordering all gun shops closed. Starting Monday Morning.

Actually it will be NY NJ PA and CT and Mass as a joint effort.

Next they are going to stop all gun education classes and start fining those who teach gun classes.

Even on line."

I have friends who work in government in nys,closely with Cuomo

Its in the works amongst all 5 states just like the shutdowns.

Next comes door to door mandatory hand overs they're calling it.,hand overs since we're in a state of emergency. That comes as soon as next week.

Any one who's not law,enforcement must hand over they're guns."

Most such rumors are unsubstantiated, do not pass the sniff test.

Nobody working "closely with Cuomo" would think that law enforcement is going to start doing house to house visits of people in QT to collect guns they will deny they have and in some cases simply use to keep them. It's hysterical.

I hope it doesnt come to that (knocking on doors). If it does I expect it to turn ugly.

If someone knocks on your door start coughing, and hacking and tell them your sick.

They might not come door to door, but they can recall all NYS CC permits and you will be required to turn all registered pistols to the "authorities". Non-compliance makes you automatic criminal, and targeted during the Emergency...happened before in other countries, look no further than modern Venezuela....

I doubt anything like this will happen. However I’d say that gun stores are not essential per the Governor so yes they did shutdown and stop selling guns.
I got an email from cabelas saying they closed. I need smoking pellets so I bought 4 bags online and 3 extra magazines.

Safer would be a regular "I've still got mine" update from people.

I would not put it past them to issue a gag order when they take the guns.

Gun stores are not essential businesses according to the state. My LGS closed her doors today at 4 and will not open for regular business until the state gives the all clear.

Omg, that is so snowflakish... This isn't "other" countries... We have the highest armed populas and a Constitution that protects it! And yeah, even handguns! Your post aligns the issuance of CC as a Privilege that can be revoked, sorry Charlie, only good tasting tuna get to be starkist!!!

Venezuela changed their Constitution under Chavez, and "then" registry and then confiscated. Even in NY, the "State" does not have the means to carry out such a task, nor would they be able to process those who resisted, even assuming they all were in non-compliance and rendered arrest and detainment. They aren't processing criminals right now because they can't seat Grand Juries, what the fuck makes you think they'll make special dispensation to process 2A Patriots!? Lmao... Love those simpletons who dream up this shit!

You can't be that naive, but I'll play along... a new york state pistol permit IS, I repeat IS a privilege that the local county government (judge) grants its county residents, after a lengthily dog and pony show of letters and finger prints and background checks, you MAY be issued the Privilege of pistol ownership. At any time the issuing judge can revoke your "permit" for a host of reasons....
