Wise purchase, I bought mine six years ago and carried it Everyday/AllDay since then. The best $400 I ever spent on a firearm.
I pocket carry mine and get a lot of pocket litter, NEVER AN ISSUE with the 642. I did buy a Smith 640 (same gun just made out of stainless) for when we go out and I want a nicer looking gun. The finish on the 642 has a ton of holster wear.

My recent firearm acqusition was a RIA 22TCM rifle, I picked it up this afternoon from the FFL guy. A friend ordered it for my as a gift for working on his pigeon loft. I had to pay the transfer and the fucked up Washington State "USE TAX" which is the exact same rate as the sales tax.
I need to get a picture of it, maybe tomorrow.
My next planed purchase is a new Glock 17, 4th generation from Bud's Guns. I owe $250 on it, I'll probably pay it of on my next dove release for a memorial on August 6th. Four birds, $250.
The 17 serves two purposes, I bought a Galco Jaskass shoulder holster and needed a gun to fit it and a have over 2,000 pieces of 9mm brass and a set of dies for reloading. The only other 9mm I own is a S&W SP101, what a pain in the ass shooting that with the moon clips.

Whenever I think I know what the next firearm I'll buy is, I'm almost always wrong.
I always have some things in mind, but for me it's usually (out of necessity) about getting a deal; so what comes up for the right price at the right time generally winds up being the thing. There are of course certain guns I've gone out of my to seek out because I wanted them though, particularly when fiances weren't quite so dire. I've always looked at buying guns as sort of an.. investment in steel, as it were.
There are definitely a few guns I have in mind right now, but honestly most of what I'm interested in buying isn't legal for me to buy in the state; so, I've been generally less interested in the idea of buying overall for quite a while now (even if I could afford it).
One thing I do notice about the NY legal guns I'm interested in now is that they're all sort of 'off' things, or maybe something I want for a specific project; which I guess means that I feel like I've got all my major bases covered by this point. Maybe not with something optimal, but with an option I find acceptable for the role. That said though, there are a number of guns I've always wanted for a specific place in the collection and never managed to get my hands on.. but will they be my next purchase ? Never know.. maybe.

Unfortunately there are not a lot of guns out there that I want or could legally acquire in the PRNY. Unless BG comes out with something special I don't see myself buying more guns. More vortex or night force scopes yes, more guns not likely.
Nothing is really tickling my fancy these days. I keep looking, but nothing really pops out at me.
I would like to pick up a couple more AR's. One in Zombie green and the other in a Dark Blue.

I need to pick up a Ruger 10/22 this week. My 13yo nephew is on his way to Babcock-Hovey in a few hours, and I intend to take him to the range with me after he gets his merit badge.
Had a lot of guns through the years, my fun ones are in AZ, many others I sold when I moved back to NY. Very small collection here. But I think if I had to have something new it might be a Shockwave. Just unusual enough to get me interested.

A Kimber K6S. Already put a down payment on it. Will pick it up sometime in the next 45 days. My wife says she is going to steal it and put it in her holster.
No Guns at the moment jump out at me! I have been thinking more along the line of mods for what I have ( Trigger jobs, Stocks, Sights, Scopes and Holsters ) But I have been known to buy on Impulse, the last being a Ruger 96/22 like I really needed another 22 rimfire!!

Shockwave here as well. Haven't grabbed one yet, but soon. Trying to narrow the list to follow that, though it isn't easy between trying to pick a bolt-action rifle or two (Scout and RPR!), and a few shotguns for my boys reaching hunting age.

In most instances, I have no preset ideas, no radar or any sort of advanced warning system when it comes to which gun I may buy next. I may consider this or that - then all of a sudden buy something completely different based upon several factors such as: a once in a lifetime deal on something that is too good to pass up, an excellent sale on something I might like, an auction, or just a wild impulse.

My first XD was a 9 mm Tactical when they first showed up, right after Springfield Armory took over the HS2000 design. Fell in love with it. It felt like a polymer Browning High Power (blasphemy). I was working in a gun store at the time and told my boss that we should rent one of them. He said no but I could rent mine out if I wanted to. So I did and made my money back in short time, not to mention we sold a $#:+ load of XDs. In the time that I had it the price increased quite a bit and I ended up selling it for about what I paid for it. Turned around and bought a XD 45 Compact and installed TruGlo TFO Night Sights on it. Within the week I was diagnosed with cancer and never shot it. Sold it to a friend and ended up buying the new XDS45. Had that before the mass recall, loved it but ended up shooting a Glock 43 better and faster from the holster. Trade in time . . . G43 rides there now. Sort of interested in the XD-E, I keep thinking about it. Biggest complaint is the cheesy Grip Zone embellishments written all over.
I'm having a very hard time resisting hoping on this for my G43.
$350 without a slide cover and $375 with cover. That includes sight and milling. I like the low profile for such a small gun the 43 is. This is the guy that is doing the custom G22 for me. I have yet to see his work in person or I would probably hope in it myself.
