Whats your top 5 from your new gun purchase list

I have all kinds of semi auto "tactical" stuff but not one manual action rifle. I'm thinking maybe I should prioritize this:


Patriot Valley Arms, John Hancock rifle.

The rifle, company and the fellow that owns it all seem to be highly regarded. And they are located right here in PA too.

Im liking the Savage MSR10 long range sub moa accuracy in a semi auto, AR package. In fact id prefer this to the Tikka i listed in my first post.

RIA makes a 1911 in 22 magnum. That is pretty much the only production gun on my list to buy. There are people selling the conversion kit for it so I just may buy that and make my own. If I can find a Para Ord 15-40 I may buy it depending on the condition and the sellers price.

I’ve got a para p12 and I love it. It’s a .45.

Trying to be realistic in things I can build or buy

Smith and Wesson revolver in 357. Love wood handles on these and nickel looks even better for the barrel, but I feel like this would suit me better

I really like the idea of the MDT LSS chassis, and the Mossberg MVP LC 308 would do the trick, short of just buying the chassis for my Savage (pictured below it) and putting that together (might be more cost effective, lol)

Throw a Monarch M5 5-20x50 scope on there and I can shoot a lot bit of everything

Springfield M1A in flat dark earth

This last one, I just want as a wall hanger w/ this poster or similar from the movie. Josey Wales is one of my favorite movies since I was a kid, and a Colt Walker 1847 revolver would be too damn expensive, so just a prop would be really cool for me to have. It would hold a lot of memories

Don’t really have a list cuz I sorta like every gun I see. But I have been eyeballing this revolver by Kimber. Held a DA one at Runnings a while back the grip seemed small did have a smooth trigger pull. Like the 3 dot sights.

Right now I think I have most everything covered ? But if I could steal a 357 magnum Marlin ( get really good price!) ! But right now I am looking at making upgrade's on what I have!

It amazes me how many of you can prioritize the guns you plan to buy and make up a top five list. I can think of two or three I'd like to get myself but I cannot think of five in particular to place onto a list. I enjoying buying guns much more on impulse or at least closer to impulsively than making up a list of my must have next five guns. I like looking around for good deals on what is available on GunBroker or at live auctions or at gun shows and sometimes in gun shops. About the only gun I want right now that is of current manufacture is a Kel-Tec PMR30 but even that is not at the top of any list. About two or two and a half weeks ago, I was looking around for an AK my son wants to get that is hard to come by at a decent price. While doing so, I came across ads for Century Arms C39 V2 lineup. I bought one a few days to a week after that when I found a good price on one. Buying an AK was about the last thing on my mind when I was looking for a good price on the one my son wants but the bug bit me, I did some research on the particular gun and I bought it. To me, it's more fun that way.

If there is any gun I could put on such a list, I guess the gun I have been searching for most is a very good or better condition Remington Model 8 in 35 REM at a good price; although, I would settle for a VG Model 81 same caliber. Both are pretty scarce and pretty expensive but I'd sure like to get a Model 8 and I might settle for the right model 81. Other than that - nothing in particular comes to mind.

My brother in law has two model 8’s . One in .35 rem. And one in the rare .32 . I’ve been working on him for years to sell me the .35 rem.

I love the DVC carry. It’s like $3000 though. That’s tough to swallow when I can’t even find one around to hold.
