ArmedCorgi
.475 A&M Magnum
Just for the heck of it. I'm getting the itch. We all have our lists so I know you all can relate. I'm not saying I will be buying another any time soon, but I'm wanting some opinions and discussion.
AR, all the way. I will always maintain that a Garand is more fun to shoot than an M1A. And the cost is similar.Bought a Ruger PCC9 a few months ago. Got a Saiga 762.39 couple weeks ago.
And I still want a 308 in a AR or M1A. I can’t decide!
Do tell..Be careful with the Garand, they are like potato chips.
So AR10 or Garand?AR, all the way. I will always maintain that a Garand is more fun to shoot than an M1A. And the cost is similar.
Garand. Especially in NY. Ammo costs will be higher but the Garand is a big part of American history. And they are so much fun to shoot. The top loading/ejecting enbloc clips are unique, novel and convenient. So AR10 or Garand?
Everyone goes on about the "PING" so much that it's become a cliche but it's so damn cool that it doesn't matter. @ArmedCorgi, you will love the ping, eveyone around you will love the ping.
I do love the ping, lol. The Appleseed event I just did should qualify me to purchase a CMP Garand. At least I hope @nortatoga, am I right?Everyone goes on about the "PING" so much that it's become a cliche but it's so damn cool that it doesn't matter. @ArmedCorgi, you will love the ping, eveyone around you will love the ping.

How many chips do you like to try before you are done ?Do tell..
M1 thumb is easily avoided and not the end of the world when it does happen. It just really smarts.People love the ping but hate the M1 Thunb.
Go M1 first, you won't be sorry. You can pick up a 5 round clip for deer hunting.
I bought my Springfield about thirty-five years ago at the Syracuse gun show, my friend I went with got a IBM if I remember right.
Fun gun to shoot. I almost bought a M1 Tanker about 18 years ago at a gun show in Portland Oregon, the guy wanted $800, I had it but didnt want tompart with it.
I have only seen a couple for sale since then and a whole lot more money.
Snooze you lose.
JFYI; IBM only made the .30 M1 carbine.People love the ping but hate the M1 Thunb.
