I have a Gibbz on my 12" Grendel pistol. The scope mounts to low on the SCR for a regular CH IMHO. I think a side charge would go well
Hello All, thoughts on which option you think is better for getting around the city to the range on public transportation (NYC), I would need to carry my glock as well and it would need to be in a locked box the hardshell would cover both since it's basically a lockable TSA approved box with lock holes and rolling wheels (but bulkier and closed cell foam interior) about 40" long. The softcase is like a guitar gigbag, 38" long and has straps as pictured and compartments but I guess I'd have to put my pistol in box inside it instead. Definitely easier to take around, more compact and possibly less conspicuous although I'm not sure. Scr will have scope and SCR handguard I ordered. Thanks.

I have a rectangular violin case that I am going to use for my Ruger PC9, you got me thinking now to see if the SCR will fit in it also? It is a little bite more discrete looking.

Edwardteach72 is correct. Check out Boyd's stocks. You can get one in similar finish from them. Just remember to search for Remington 1100.

Yup. Boyd's 1100 stock, with a little work, will work from what I've heard. But, if you wanted to do a matching handguard, Boyd's won't ship it to NY. So, you either find someone else to make it, or have it shipped to a friend in another state.
Why on Handguard, what's the reason for restricting that?

When I questioned them, they said it was on the advice of their lawyers.
I guess it's the better safe than sorry stance. Still don't get it on a wooden handguard but how about ordering separately?

They had also stopped shipping thumbhole stocks for bolt-action rifles to NY. Not sure if that is still so today?
Looks great! Did you get the bolt catch? Also something to look into is the Troy Ind. ambi mag release just push out the roll pin and flip the button, works real good instead of reaching forward with your right hand you drop the mag when bring your left hand back to switch mags.
Thanks. Yes, I added the bolt catch, seemed silly to not after spending all that . I was planning on something like the Troy ambi mag release next. Is it a simple add in? Is it one drop in part or you have to rig it to work. Where can I buy it? Thanks again.
I got it right from Troy. It was a simple add-on, there are videos on YouTube. As I said the only rigging was flipping the button so it faces up instead of down.
