I have had a wonderful time baiting all my left wing friends on facebook. They all post things about the hypocrisy of the republicans in 2016 - which is fair game. What they don't like being reminded of is the hypocrisy of the democrats. After all, if they truly believed there should be no nominations prior to an election why did obama nominate marland in 2016? Someone responded that it was 9 months prior to the election. So I asked them two questions. First, where in the constitution does it say 9 months is ok but 2 months is not? And second, (my favorite) how many days did it take to nominate RBG? The answer is 50 days, which is not far off from now to election day. My god the silence from the left is absolutely priceless. I can envision them furiously googling only to come up with the same answers I did. I have not had this much fun in months.

They can do it again. And probably will.
Pelosi has all but said they will fire impeachment again to block this. What is not clear are what charges they will bring. It is not unlawful to fill the seat so who knows. This may cause the D's to lose the house but I dont think it will stop them. Also the budget runs out in approx 10 days. They could shut the government down. Lots going on here. The stakes have never been higher.

I'm betting they will claim Trump's handling of the Covid response constitutes an impeachable offense.

Don't feel bad about it. The people of Utah had ample opportunity to see that Mitt is an asshole, but they elected him anyway.
