I hate to be the typical defeatist but My bet is the judge gives the state the benefit of the doubt and does not issue an injunction because the law hasn’t effected anyone yet being that it’s not in effect yet.

No you can. Injunctions typically occur before law is set and tend to be temporary, appeals occurs after the law is in effect (ex: Roe) - I think that is correct. example: You can have an injunction pending appeal.

Yeah, that is a concern. As @Jchrisls pointed out, his incoming replacement is an Obama judge. Suddaby ends his term as Chief Justice today.
