This was going to be my recommendation also. From the article it sounds like a bunch of cosmetic upgrades, which I'm a fan of(check out my custom pistol thread). From my research if you desire an upgraded Glock find a machinist to work your slide. After that find a stippler and coater you like and let him finish your gun. After that the only thing left to do is choose an aftermarket trigger. If you really want to go all out choose an aftermarket barrel. There's really not much else to these guns to do to them.
I'm surprised that no one has made one yet.Imagine an all metal Glock. I'd buy one.
Me too! I can just imagine all the bitching they'd quell by doing that. Though I'm sure @Darth would find an angle to criticize.I'm surprised that no one has made one yet.

Cool. It looks lome for now they only offer full size frames.
The polymer must be better for the Glock design if the metal after market frames haven't taken off. I wonder if that comes down to functionality or just personal preference? Kind of like a polymer 1911(if that exists). I could see a lot of 1911 guys not liking it just because of the polymer even if it functioned as good or better.
I liked Wilson Combat, up until now. That's officially the ugliest piece of garbage Wilson Combat has ever made. Shame on them for sullying their good name and associating with a company like Glock.
Oh sir! I believe you are kindly mistaken. No self respecting gun owner, or company for that matter, would tarnish their good name in such a way.Yeah! who they think they are associating their good name with the brand of the best pistol design ever made?
It is like the fulton armory building match ARs and M1As! ...those pieces of garbage!
This is a disgrace! LOL

No worries. You know the saying...The wilsons are a smart family. They know there is plenty of bacon there for everyone to share.
Nothing too exclusive, too special. It just works.
Imagine something that shoots every single time you pull the trigger? We can always complain about something else.
Of course is like the AK based designs, one can associate them with the taliban and others with high end/ special operations all over the world.
After-all it is the AK of the pistols and the most popular pistol on the face of the planet and for a good reason.
This is a fact and whether we, you and I like it or not it doesn't make a difference.
Gaston Glock didn't build a pistol. He build a machine that shoots bullets and since then his ideas have been used
to change the way everyone makes pistols and other firearms. ... you know, the dependable ones.
No worries. You know the saying...
Haters gonna hate.
At least that's how I think the kids say it.
In all seriousness, I'm a 1911 guy and this is disappointing to me, but I'm a purist. I'm also a realist and understand that a company is about making money, even if it means aligning with junk.
Also, I have never once experienced a malfunction or jam on any one of the 1911s I own. John Browning also designed a damn dependable pistol.
Going at a paltry 800 fps. The round is outdated for today's world. It falls short in the barriers one encounters that weren't an issue in the past. As far as the 1911 pistol itself, sure it works and works well as do many others that don't weigh a brick, aren't cumbersome to field strip, and hold more ammo.John Browning also designed a damn dependable pistol.

An M1 Garand is a fine weapon too and served it's purpose but it would be a hindrance in today's world just as a 1911 would.
Wilson is tapping into a market for money as any good business should do and also getting with the times so they won't be left behind.
I didn't just mention caliber did I?I'm not starting a caliber argument with you, so I'm not falling for the bait.
Also, you do know that virtually every major 1911 manufacturer now makes a 9mm, right?
Didn't need to. I have seen your previous wars with people. Lol. Unless I'm mistaken didn't you have a multi page caliber war with someone a month or to ago? My bad, if I'm thinking about someone else.I didn't just mention caliber did I?
What does a previous discussion have anything to do with this one? Did you miss my points about cumbersome disassembly, capacity, and weight?Didn't need to. Please don't take it personally, wasn't meant as a shot at you. What does a previous discussion have anything to do with this one? Did you miss my points about cumbersome disassembly, capacity, and weight?
