I've been putting the dirty unprimed brass in the tumbler with walnut hulls simple green & the brasso. I'll skip the brasso in the future. I can't find lemon shine in any of the stores. I'll look for the other stuff instead.

I've never heard of using lemi shine in a dry tumbler I've only heard about with wet tumbling. What phaser linked above is the most common for dry tumbling. I can't find the post on the high road where the guy that owns RMR bullets suggests there's a better turtle wax product. Anyway most people use a cap full of nu finish with cut up used crier sheets to tumble their brass. The dryer sheets are absorb some of the contaminants from the tumbling process and reduce dust. I have also heard about people using mineral spirits in the media but I can't remember if that is to help clean the brass or the media itself. I hope this helps, I hope I didn't come off too hard on my original post. I don't know how much effect brasso has on the brass. It might be all internet hype or there might be a real concern. I personally don't know so I just wanted to make sure you don't get yourself in an unsafe condition.
Well I got the chance to catch up on my standard 308 loading today. I need to shoot my rifles more. Last time I reloaded for that rifle was August of 2014. In all fairness I did get a few hundred factory rounds for dirt cheap. Now I'm caught up with these I will try to get the test loads for my other 308 going.
I found a load my M1A absolutely loved today. I will load up a 1000 of them and not have to worry about ammo for the military rifle league for a long time.

On another local gun forum I'm on there are a couple of guys useing Rice as a tumbler media, have any of you guys try Rice in the tumbler? I'd think it would be less dusty then the Walnut Hulls I've been useing.I have been taking a dryer sheet and cutting it in half and then cut the halves in half for the tumbler, they do catch a bunch of dust. Next time I see some cheap rice I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
I've been loading up 160 grain FMJ bullets for 38spl. I wrote down the info on all of the powders I have from starting loads to max loads, and loading five of each grains of powder for each type of powder. I need to pick up a can of Bullseye Tuesday to have the last type of powder for the 160 grain bullets.
Once we get a sunny day with decent temp I'll take all of these bullets the pistol rest I bought and one of my 38 revolvers and see what bullet/powder combination it likes, then I'll load up the 110 grain bullets and try the same thing with them.
I'll do this for each revolver I have, so it will take a bunch of time to get this done. I will do it on a day I have a bunch of free time so I can shoot five rounds, clean the gun then shoot another five rounds and repeat the cycle until I get all of the bullets used up and recorded. I picked up a pack of targets today at Cabelas, I'll go to the copy center and make a couple of hundred copies for this project.
Once I see what each gun likes I'll load up a bunch of bullets for each gun. There is a local guy that has 11,000 pieces of 38spl brass for $35 for 500 pieces. I'll be picking up a thousand pieces.
I bought a used Ruger 77/357 last fall, I have a stainless 6" 357mag Ruger GP100 to match up with this gun and then I bought a stainless 7 1/2" 357mag Ruger Redhawk to use with it. Yesterday I bougt a 100 pak of Hornady 158 grain XTP bullets and today I bought a 100 pack of 180 grain Hornady XTP bullets to load up fore these three guns to see what they like. I plan on useing these guns for deer hunting back there in New York & Pennsylvania for deer hunting once we get this National Resip passed with this Republican controled government. I do have my PA. non-resident pistol permit along with Utah, Arizona, Oregon & Florida.
Cabelas has 140 grain Hornady XTP bullets, but I think the 140 grain bullets would be a little on the light side to use on deer. The 357 rifle should be good on deer out to a couple hundred yards.
A Ruger 77/44 in on my list of guns to get, I already have two 7&1/2" Ruger Redhawks to line up with this rifle. The Super Redhawk will be getting a scope mounted on it, the other one is the older style of redhawk so it will stay un-scoped.

I think the whole thread discussion boiled down to the there wasn't enough gain to justify the cost of using rice.
I've have yet to have multiple guns in the same caliber that I reload for. I'm starting on my first right now in 308.
If you keep reloading a lot of pistol rounds I would recommend a case kicker. I upgraded last year my only regret is not doing it sooner. It really turns the decapping sizing process into a breeze and it's kind fun watching the brass move through the press at such a fast rate.
For load development I'll take a picture of how I do it later today.

Loaded up some reduced loads for my Garand today, 135grain SMK over 47.5 grains of IMR4895 and a CCI Large Rifle Magnum Primer at 3.247 OAL. If the weather is good next weekend will try them out at one and two hundred yards. If they group decently I will have found my military rifle league load for the Garand.
Yes, I already loaded the others in 12 enblocs 96 in total. I was fortunate enough to have enough of several different brass manufacturers to put them in their own enblocs with only having to use one to load the odd ones.
It's not winter anymore but got sometime on the bench today. I'm trying to get ahead on my reloading considering I'm moving soon. I ran myself out of 9mm and 40 projectiles today. This was the plan to have less to move but I don't like it and might order some more. Anyways here's your ammo porn.
