I was never complaining, I was asking why others were complaining.

If they kicked down my door because of guns,,,,I would go above the ones who did it and ask their boss why this was necessary if I felt there was no reason for what they did. Would I be pissed,,,of course I would but I would still go above the people that were doing what they were ordered to do. Why should I bother with the employee when I can speak to the boss. If I'm not satisfied after speaking to the boss then I take the government to court.

Whats the point in arguing with the cops? There isnt one! Arguing with the cops is beyond stupid.

In this video obviously you guys are saying there wasnt written law,,,,guess I missed that part because I thought thats what the cop was showing them with the info booklet he had.

If there was no law written by the politicians that was spelled out in the booklet he showed them,,,,,then I take back pretty much everything I said in the post,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,though I still disagree with arguing with the cops, its a waste of time 99% of the time and you would be better served arguing/talking to the ones above them.

The law was a nudity law. You had to be nude. This woman wasn’t nude. The cop was stretching the law to apply. The SGT cleared it up.

Well, lake beaches in the sticks don’t account for miles of beaches up and down the 2 coasts and the Gulf. But since you say that it doesn’t happen, then you have spoken.

I’m more inclined to believe what I have seen in real beaches and actual pictures of US beaches despite your anger and the taking of things personally.

He quoted a law that outlawed nudity, then tried to claim she was nude.

You can argue whether a thong is appropriate beach attire or not, and that may vary from community to community, but it is not nude no matter how prudish your beach.

The bottom line though is that she was wearing a commercially available swimsuit of a type that is widely marketed as beach attire in the US. The community standards have been set, it's acceptable.

You keep missing the point. Why can't you follow a thread beyond one post? He implied women in thongs are common on our beaches. I disputed that because I don't see it on several beaches I go to. He posted a picture. That picture doesn't prove this is common, just like posting a picture of naked Athena doesn't mean there are naked women commonly seen on American streets.

Well, her ass was exposed willfully, it wasn't a wardrobe malfunction. It doesn't say willfully AND maliciously. There is a comma there, so it's either willfully or maliciously.

I said at some point. I don’t make up or know what that point is. I never even said this girl passed that point. It’s hard to describe what that point is and it’s different for everyone. I’m sure this is an attempt to make all feel welcome at the beach.
My point being that people shouldn’t be able to just walk around naked or do as they please because it seems ok to them. We have laws for a reason(at times) because not everyone feels the same.
I’ll admit this ones a slippery slope and very borderline to me. I also agree that the questions she asked should have been answered. What is it isn’t acceptable. They weren’t.

Negative. In every town in south America and Europe topless is everywhere. In Africa is a 50/50 obviosly excliding the Muslim countries where women have zero rights.
'Our' culture is a pretty arbitrary term.
I understand laws are laws but my question is how so many absurd and draconian laws and ordinances are introduced.
Soon anything and everything will be illegal.

They is no such ordinance on Myrtle Beach’s laws. It’s just written on the website that Nortatoga posted. That is not law. Here is Myrtle Beach’s city ordinances. Tell me where it bans thongs.
