Twisting my words does not help your argument
Social pressure is far from empty words. It tends to be more effective than law actually.
When was the last time you heard a white guy use the N word ? It's not illegal, but the social pressure is enormous.
There are very very few things that should have the power of government behind them. Regulating personal expression is absolutely not one of them.
"Look at me, I'm hot ?"What is she expressing?
This is what I have tried and failed to explain on numerous occasions around here. The ubiquitous phone and camera and internet is a potential grenade given to kids, and many do not navigate it well, causing long term damage to themselves and others. It is a whole new world out there folks .
Was on a grand jury and an early 20 's male sent one to a 14 year old ,, He is in prison now we think... But what was taken away from the case .. Most girls today are asked for a nude photo from boys they both know and don't know and many have had "questionable photos sent to them..
Not uncommon for an early teen to have received one and photos are passed around like crazy...Perhaps not nudes but thong photos ... All the time .
Back in my time the best day of the year was the boy scout paper drive .. .. Playboys never made it to the collection center .. Today it is sexting.in high school. even middle school. . The woman that complains about a thong that her 14 year old son sees on the beach has not a clue what he has on his cell phone . ..
If that's the price of freedom, so be it.If she can show her ass in public, so can he. Enjoy.

There are a lot worse messages out there.
I too thought she was ugly. Sorry. She's not, though.
Which is a different argument entirely.
You wouldn't take her to meet the pastor, and her tats are trash, but I've seen much worse! She's not, though.
Which is a different argument entirely.
What’s good for one is good for all, selective enforcement never works wellI am not twisting your words. You imply her ass looks nicer then his stomach. That may be so, but he will be able to expose his ass just like her. It's a stupid argument.
If that's the price of freedom, so be it.
I wasn't going to get into that debate, but free expression includes being wrong. She's not, though.

There is a lot more to freedom than gun laws. That's not a price of freedom. It has no impact on anything except indecent exposure. SCOTUS is not going to strike down any gun laws because she is pushing public decency envelope. In fact this only helps anti-gunners who argue that people will do the same with guns if we let them.
There is a lot more to freedom than gun laws.
What freedom of yours ?Her freedom cuts against mine for the reason explained in the last post.
What freedom of yours ?
You think you have a right not to be offended ?
Listen. In Russia, they allow thongs. I just looked it up. A google search of Russian beaches showed many women dressed just like this girl. If it’s okay there in Mother Russia, why are you trying to suppress our freedoms here in America.
And they are being more unreasonable than the KGB. That’s what we have issue with.I don't care what they allow in Russia. It's the American cops who are challenging her attire.

I’m not from Puerto Rico. I was born here. Regardless, the cop says exactly what he’s there for. He quotes a law about nudity that has nothing to do with the girl at all. And here in the US, people dress like that in beaches all the time. Including Puerto Rico which is a US territory. Anyway, take a drive down to Jone’s beach in Long Island. Go to the Jersey Shore. Just got back from Florida on the Gulf Coast. Many thongs on the beach.KGB, FBI, CIA or Abver have nothing to do with this? I see you put on your idiot hat, didn't take long. From what I see in that video with part of the conversation being erased, I can't conclude there was misconduct on the part of these cops. Maybe this attire is normal in public in Puerto Rico, not here.

I see guys w/o shirts all the time.Go outside on the hottest day of the year and all of the people you see will still cover up their rear end.
Well, lake beaches in the sticks don’t account for miles of beaches up and down the 2 coasts and the Gulf. But since you say that it doesn’t happen, then you have spoken.Bullshit. I live not far from several beaches. I don't see women wearing a thong. If they did, I would have noticed. There may be a few exceptions, but it's not as common as you mislead.
I was never complaining, I was asking why others were complaining. While you are correct in one sense but would you do something that your boss told you to do was morally wrong or illegal?
Also keep in mind that first cop was a dick. Maybe she was horrible to him and acted like a moron but we will never know because of the timing of the video start time.
I think most don’t blame them for enforcing the law it was how the first interaction went. All they would have to do is say look we received a complaint about the way your dressed and here’s what we need you to do going forward. Here’s the penal code and you can read it for yourself. Any questions? Then clarify if there were questions.
I enforce government regulations on food businesses and this is how I handle it. I find it’s 100% effective because laws/regulations are generally written very vague. The person in the beach is right where does it stop and what is ok and what isn’t? I’m sure partly they were being jerks but they wanted to know what they could and couldn’t do same as the people I regulate. They just want to comply 99% of the time. The first cop failed at that miserable. Also the fact about Speedo’s was completely ignored. I do believe they got a complaint but I also believe they went to this beach dressed like that numerous times before and that other cops walked by them earlier and said nothing. This is why laws can’t be picked and chosen but laws like this often are because there’s not victim to speak of.
But yes overall I will agree they were just following orders but what if those orders include kicking down your door because you’re a gun owner to remove said doors? Would you be on here complaining then?
