Marine Cpl

I think no one builds AR's anymore since the actual parts are mass produced by machine. Even the 80 percent. We are just a bunch of assemblers and tweakers.
i haven't tweaked in years.I think no one builds AR's anymore since the actual parts are mass produced by machine. Even the 80 percent. We are just a bunch of assemblers and tweakers.
Now...if you can build a gaming PC with 2x4s I'll be impressed.I built my gaming PC (allegedly) with just a bunch of parts.
When Dell peddles crap PCs at higher prices, does this make me Intel?
Do carpenters not build homes because they bought 2x4s?
I'm confused.
I think Robin's rifles are several levels above "built". Crafted may be the correct word.WARNING: No detents were used in the construction of these AR's (American Longrifles)!

What you describe, froming, machining or otherwise manipulating raw materials into a distinct end product, that sounds like manufacturing. Here we go again smh. I remember on the other forum when talking about my silencers being called an "assembler" and not a builder because I put together end caps and a tube. Even though I did form and drill the baffles and end cap. Also had to measure and cut the blast chamber so every thing fit together nice and tight. Well, if you're so confident that you're not a manufacturer go ahead and "assemble" some silencers, short barrel rifles and machine guns. Should hold up just fine in court.

Hmmmm. This gave me an idea...Now...if you can build a gaming PC with 2x4s I'll be impressed.

Now don't be going and making any sense in this thread. It will spoil the jump.I guess car manufacturers don't outsource any parts either unless they are all considered assemblers now.
Notice the synonyms:

None of them are building.Yes, what about them?
None of them are building.
Ok. Then. I concede. You guys are correct. I built my AR by putting the upper and lower together along with putting in a different stock, buffer, and spring.
I also built the coffee table I bought from Wayfair by putting together the legs with an allen wrench.
I'm still slightly confused though and don't want to go around telling people I did something when I didn't.Finally. You got it!
