Yes I did know that but I was skeptical the SC would do that but now it seems like they maybe waiting to pounce on it.

Every one of the nine Justices has at one time been a lower court judge. They know exactly how long each and every phase of a case should take and what is an unreasonable delay.
Justices Alito and Thomas know they have the votes to back them up within the Court. They would never bluff.
The recent note to GOA plaintiffs was a serious document. It was much more profound that what GOA was asking for, actually. They applied for what amounts to another hit-and-run, this time a reversal of the stay. What they got was a set of specific expectations directed squarely at the State and the 2nd Circuit.
Yes and, as we've seen currently, while the S.C. makes a speedy decision using a GVR it opens the door to the lower court finding any means possible to further delay a verdict, up to and including remanding it back down to the district court that made the initial decision with a bullshit statement of "now do it based on Bruen" when the initial decision was already made using the Bruen criteria.
A Right delayed is a Right denied.

I saw the Erie County DA speaking about it and it he said it doesn’t include the cases out of Buffalo. That to me means the Sinatra religious one is not included. I thought the other parts were combined but I can’t keep all this crap straight. It’s complicated at this point and the EC DA said he thinks they can enforce the CCIA. Honestly he didn’t even seem too sure himself and I got the impression he doesn’t really want to.

It's not up to him to combine the cases or not. The recent note from SCOTUS indicated that they are looking at all the relevant cases.

I agree. That’s 9-10 weeks from now. Not a hurry to me. They should get their thumbs out their asses.
Funny how the Supreme Court made this happen.
You aint seen nothing yet. They will only hear these cases in 2 months. They they could do a number of things. Send them back down to the district courts or just take months to issue a ruling. And when the ruling does come it won't be in our favor so we'll have to wait longer for SCOTUS to take it up. We're a long way away from anything here. Those are my thoughts.

After listening to what scotus said to the second circuit I think scotus is watching this closely and is pissed they are fucking with us. If what scotus said is true we will have relief sooner than we think, I think??

At this point GOA, FPC, etc., should be returning to the S.C. and stating that the 2nd has decided NOT to rule on this quickly.
9 weeks...63 days...this is unacceptable when ONE DAY of having a right infringed is too much.
NYS, as well as each and every politicians that voted for this out of their own pockets, should have to pay a hefty fine for EVERY DAY our rights are infringed. These fines should be payable to the people of New York State.

I think they are slow walking it as much as they think they can get away with it . If 3/20 is the hearing date, I wouldn’t expect the opinion/decision until late summer.
