Well @Podmonkey after reading your parts list I got thinking and wondering if anyone uses either of the two krinkov muzzle devices on their galils (I really love the bulgarian flash can) And came across this

I haven't shared pictures of my Savage Axis 2 223 Remington in a while. Here it is with the coyote Boyd's AT-ONE thumbhole stock I must have at least 2,000 rounds through it. I wonder how much more I can shoot it before having to replace the barrel.

The amount of butt hurt being demonstrated in that post isn't even funny.

Ask anyone in the military (at last a combat arms unit, as I can't speak for the rear echelon types) to clean their "assault rifle" ....you'll only get confused looks. No one refers to a M4/M16, SAW, M240 or any other semi-auto or full-auto weapon as an "assault" anything. It just isn't a term that is used in modern military parlance.
