So what you are saying is a court or Law enforcement has the right to decide what my intentions are? I may buy something in the morning, kick myself in the ass for doing it, in the afternoon and sell it. So who decides what my intentions were?
Not trying to ruffle anybody's feathers but if I get a deal on a gun that I know is worth much more than I paid for it, I have made a straw purchase by putting it on gun broker or selling it to another individual? I have no intention of keeping it, in this case, and my only intention is to make...
I guess I just get upset when supposed lawmakers make things so difficult on the average law abiding citizen who is trying to do the right thing. I apologize if I have offended anybody but as you can see lawmakers make it extremely difficult on the law abiding.
In that court case I can...
It seems to me that this would have never of came to be an issue if the receiver of the gun wasn't suspected in a holdup using said gun. I mean no disrespect but that is a very gray law that is not in the description of the ATF's description of a straw purchase. Most of the simple gun laws are...
The major problem I have with this is, If I have a neighbor kid who does a lot for me and I want to buy him a gun for Christmas I Legally can't take possession wrap it up and surprise him with it. He wouldn't actually take possession until we went and transferred it to him or his guardian at a...
Ok, got it. Buy gun then have FFL send it to another FFL without the buyer doing a 4473. Selling FFL logs it out of their book to the receiving FFL. In effect only the ACTUAL buyer does the background check at the receiving FFL. Correct?
It just seems to be a lot of legal hoopla to accomplish...
I would like to see the actual decision and not a recap from a law firm or Wikipedia. How would grampa in Florida legally buy a gun for a friend or family here in NY. There is no question about the gun being a gift even though the end user legally can pass a background check. I understand what...
Maybe I put it wrong. Friend buys gun then ships it or takes to FFL. Money transaction is done between private individuals. FFL takes possession of gun and logs it into his books. Friend who is buyer does a 4473 and answers he is the actual buyer at that point. Buyer takes receipt to county...
The way you are interpreting the law no one could ever sell a used gun as everyone has to answer yes to that question or an FFL won't even run the background check. Example, I go to FFL and sell him my gun and then my friend comes in and says he would have bought it from me and then buys it from...
Person #1 gives or sends the gun to FFl. FFL then puts it in their books therefor taking possession. Person#2 then has a background check on him and pays for transaction. One background check, same as if person #1 sold gun to FFL and person #2 bought it.
First thing to do is forget what your buddies say you should get. What's great for them may feel awful to you. Put your hands on as many of them as you can so you know what feels good to you. As far as price, yea you can get a cheap gun like a High Point if you like the feel of a brick in your...
Thinking they are probably going to relocate closer to where the owner lives after closing the PA store and probably this one too. Just speculation on my part.
If you want to take a drive to Wyoming County check out K&K Guns in Varysburg. They have a great supply of powder and reloading supplies. Home | K & K Guns

I don't think it came back as denied. It was most likely delayed and needed more time for research. It happens all the time and can take a few minutes or a few days to get the OK. I never heard of NICS changing a denied to a proceed.
That is true, there is a box the FFL has to check off as to whether it's a long gun or handgun. No mention of how many or make and model of gun though. Multi purchase form is only done on handguns and another form for every handgun, whether it's one or ten, goes to the state.
I have Utah, Florida, and Pennsylvania in addition to my NY permit.
I was just in Gettysburg on vacation and since my wife did not have her PA permit decided to check it out for her. We went 2 blocks from our hotel to the Adams County Sheriffs office and in 15 minutes she had her PA permit...
I contacted our illustrious Attny General and asked for a definitive answer on what constitutes a fixed magazine. I received a reply in the form of a letter that basically says to contact the State Police. Well, my take on this is if the Attny General can't give you a definitive answer then the...
