So I am sure this has been mentioned/asked before and I am not putting in the correct search words We will be traveling to Vt. next weekend and I plan to carry. My question is in regard to how to carry, open or still concealed. I have been over there at times and see open carriers but not sure...
I think I looked at them in the past. What is their turnaround time? I recall reading something on their site about as product is available or something.
That is definitely very sound advice. Thanks so much. I really need to invest in chrono. Trying to find a powder that works well with 45acp and not so dirty. Going to try some Unique and Bullseye as I found power pistol left too much reside.
That's what I was reading was to reduce but couldn't find what to fo down to. Some say 1.25 others, like yourself, say even shorter. There's really not much in the way of data for 200 grain lrn that I have found. Thanks for the insight.
So I picked up some 45acp cast coated RN and go to my books for load data but not getting much other than for lswc. For the powder that's fine The part that gets me is the oal. Would utilizing any oal for 200 grain rn suffice?
I have a pound of H110 that I have no use for. I only load for 9mm, 40 S&W and 223 and this is not suitable. I took it in some time back when buying some equipment and such. Looking for someone local to the Plattsburgh area who may be in need and swap for some other powder I can use. I use...
It's my normal FFL and have a very good relationship with them and don't believe there would be any hidden fees just the transfer fee. They are awesome. Six firearms have gone through them for me in the last year.
Ok so trying to understand how this works. If I wanted to sell a pistol to a friend do we just both have to go to the FFL for the transfer with the pistol and do the paperwork?
I agree completely. Mine gets from a distributor who has their markup so the LGS has to make their money as well. As much as I would like to go there for everything I just can't. This purchase alone would have been `$250 more!
Actually it is. NY is a may issue or at least last time I checked. So you bringing up an old thread just to maybe pump your ego makes me lose all respect for you sir.
I took in some stuff on a trade and ended up with a full pound of H110. I have no use for it since can't be used for 9 or 40. Would like to just trade for something I can use. Obviously can't ship so would have to be someone local to the Plattsburgh area. Currently using CFE Pistol and aa#5.
There are quite a few so far. As mentioned there are things that need to be done in order to happen. The course is now a requirement for a permit. While I don't fully agree with everyone needing ti take it I do feel that those qho have never held a firearm should take it as it is very...
Have him submit a letter to the judge. Took about a week or so to get my response. Times have changed and the new judge is willing to work with permit holders to have the restrictions removed. If his is a year old he may not be required to take the course. My options for removal of #3 was a year...
Actually you can have the restrictions removed in Clinton. I have had my permit for about 6 months now and had my restrictions removed after taking safety course. There is now a course that is required before issuance for permit. This, as I am understanding, also gives the new permits issued...
You know, I was kind of pissed about it at first. But like I said, I thought about it more and was more than happy to take it. Yes it should not be a requirement but with so many out there just getting a pistol to have one and having never shot any type of firearm before it is a good thing...
So have been busy for a while. I wanted to give some kind of update. So after submitting my letter it was denied due to length of time having had permit. I then submitted a second letter for reconsideration. At that time I was instructed that either with passage of time without incident or an...
So pleased today. Took the wifes gun out yet again and this time it was a positive visit. Had it all working flawlessly. Then ran some reloads and it started acting up again. Went ahead and opened up another 1/4 turn and went good for another 30 rounds. Called it a day.
Yup. Already have it set and ready to go. Was a little nervous doing it. Put a cleaning rod in it and marked the bit. Went so smooth. Cleaned it all up and ran the bore snake through it
So drulled it out yesterday. Going to the range in a bit to test it out. Hopefully it goes good. It ended up being .081. Not sure how accurate my harbor freight mic is.
It was their branded one so no name branded. Also I did it in 1/2 not 3/4. I need to stop and think a bit before I try typing. Yes I was only doing 1 rd per adjustment. I had started from all the way shut and wouldn't eject after 1 full turn tjen 1/2 turn from there forward. I did that 2x, once...
So here at the range and have adjusted every which way with both lowers and still doing the same. Could not having a brake or flash hider on and only having a thread protector cause this? I am not buuing that it is the buffer since the first lower I built has a rifle buffer in it and does the...
I am really leaning on gas block. Going to order another one as well as another tube just to be on the safe side. I don't want to keep tearing up brass. I have only put 10 rds total through it trying to narrow down issues.
