§ 44-146.15. Construction of chapter.
Nothing in this chapter is to be construed to:

(1) Limit, modify, or abridge the authority of the Governor to exercise any powers vested in him under other laws of this Commonwealth independent of, or in conjunction with, any provisions of this chapter;

(2) Interfere with dissemination of news or comment on public affairs; but any communications facility or organization, including, but not limited to, radio and television stations, wire services, and newspapers, may be required to transmit or print public service messages furnishing information or instructions in connection with actual or pending disaster;

(3) Empower the Governor, any political subdivision, or any other governmental authority to in any way limit or prohibit the rights of the people to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by Article I, Section 13 of the Constitution of Virginia or the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, including the otherwise lawful possession, carrying, transportation, sale, or transfer of firearms except to the extent necessary to ensure public safety in any place or facility designated or used by the Governor, any political subdivision of the Commonwealth, or any other governmental entity as an emergency shelter or for the purpose of sheltering persons;

I just checked my schedule and it looks like I'm going to be unable to make the 20th Monday American revolution. Can we wait till Tuesday or bump it past lunch hour? I have an appointment at 9:00am and I won't have time for war paint and still need my plate carrier tailored around the shoulders. Now I know everyone's been set on the 20th for the uprising and all, but it's just not convenient for me.

I was wondering about this myself. How many state boys would say fuck it and play sick day. Many LEO everywhere are plain sick of the pinko commies period. I found evidence of that today at a LGS. SP or sheriff's deputy I'm unsure, and I didn't ask. He was in plain clothes bitching about the bail reform law, arresting the same perp 3x in one day for heroin and beating up his mother for obtaining his drug funds. These stupid moves by all the commies could be what it takes for change in favor of the conservatives/patriots.

With the bail reform, my understanding is that they don't have to arraign them for 24 hours or something.

If you want to keep them off the street, but you know you're going to have to release them on bail at the arraignment, isn't the logical answer to delay the arraignment as long as possible ?

Also something to consider is the possibility of agent provocateurs within the crowd. It’s a pretty well known tactic for agents to infiltrate a group then Start chaos so that the police have an excuse to shut it down. There’s some good footage of it during the Occupy movement a few years back. With the escalation by the governor of declaring an emergency, and the resolve of the protesters to carry, I’d say This thing is shaping up to be a potential shit show. Hopefully OP has plans and provisions for bugging out in case SHTF

Not to mention the real need to police your own. Someone on your side starts to behave in a manner not welcomed.. shut them down first. They may be a legitimate supporter off the rails or a plant either needs to be stoped by our side whenever possible

It should not be lost on anyone that Governor Blackface is attempting to make a gigantic, controlled, free speech zone in which people must disarm to express their political views and protest their government... just like the Bureau of Land Management did to the farmers during the Bundy ranch uprising.

American patriots responded to that with an organized militia response that saw the Federal agents retreating in front of a bunch of cowboys on horses waving American flags, and patriot snipers and shooters on an overwatch position to lay down suppressing fire.

FedGov was made to look like fools, the People felt the stirrings of what real Liberty looks like, and the communists quietly went back to the drawing board to make sure that doesn't happen again. FedGov killed Levoy Finicum after the fact to prove the point that they are ruthless and mean business.

We're going to find out right quick how the patriotic political and militia movement handles itself in the runup to the MLK holiday on the 20th in the face of Tyranny, and the traitors in Federal and State government and "our" political parties will be taking notes for their next attempt at cramming the Constitution down our throats.

Do they plan on stopping and frisking everyone? Carry empty gun cases, boxes, backpacks keep the tormentors busy and film everything. As with past NY rallies there will be a number of LEO persons on the protest side of the lines. At one of the Albany rallies there were a number of elected NY sheriffs on stage speaking out against Andy's tyranny.

With the governors calling LEOs to monitor the capitol this will make it a LEO free holiday for the local criminals.

The biggest defense will be to film everything, past a point everyone gets identified.

That entire thing hangs completely on the word Except.

Governors have broad public safety and police power discretion, and just like Cuomo, Northam has used it.

VCDL would need an immediate injunction in a serious VA court of law, probably the VA Supreme Court, to nix the ban on all arms on the capitol grounds, and their lawyers have little time to effect that.

It's not certain they can get an injunction based on a large number of reasons besides the time factor, and Northam might well tell a VA court to go pound sand while his AG ties it up in their courts for years.

Laws on paper are useless when they are not enforced, and only executive branch officials control the law enforcers.

A refreshing and righteous sight to see the other side slap it down hard and fast without breaking a sweat.
Probably not going to happen without serious planning, practice and multiple contingency plans in place but still...I'd love to see our side restore the peace through superior strength/firepower and prove/illustrate their foolishness.
