They've done more than anyone in NY has done to say no to their government since UnSafe passed, and every single one of them has made us proud.
And if you didn't like my first piece of advice, go pound sand while you wait for your NRA approved Second Amendment apparel to come out of the wash.

So far, lots of smiley faces. People treating the rally like a fun festival. Should do a lot of good.
A good sized army of Virginians showed up openly Bearing their war implements to make sure their government understood they are unhappy with the proposed Infringements, and sent a smaller diplomatic embassy within the chicken wire to peacefully let Coonman understand they are not going to comply.
They did far more than anyone has done in NY in the face of egregious government tyranny.

Seeing all the pictures and reports from Virginia are getting me energized today- and the build up over the last couple of weeks. I bet a lot of people are feeling it the same. Wouldn't it be great if we could piggyback something off of this? keep the momentum going and continue the effort around the country? This upcoming legislative session is looking like a continuation of the noose tightening around the 2A in NY...

Not everyone is on the same team here.
I attempted to do exactly what the People of Virginia did here in New Yorkistan, with a very sound legal strategy to back it up to force NY to give us a permit to hold an open carry rally. I wasted a good amount of time working behind the scenes speaking to citizens, lawyers, gun groups, etc. and got told by almost all of them they would never participate or get involved. For every dedicated NYer who said he was in support, there were a hundred "OMG you're going ARMED and wearing freaking CAMO???"
That put a target on my back that personally cost my family some problems I won't discuss here.
When I suggested that we openly Bear Arms to the Albany rally months before it happened the NRA quislings howled that I was going to get everyone killed and that I was nothing more than an agent provocateur.
Any man who wants to change his underwear and take his Liberty back into his own hands I will forgive completely without even mentioning it.
Anyone that wants to undermine the cause from the sidelines and bash those who put themselves at risk can either get their head straight or go to hell.

Take a good look at that crowd, Those are hard core 2ndA voters , Any democrat is salivating at the voting potential . If anyone of them thinks they may lose an election don't think for a minute they wouldn't flip flop on the 2nd A for a paycheck. They wish they could put that many people in any one place to support them . And those people are definitely going to vote.

The NRA is in the business of fighting a battle, not winning it.
Their goal is to keep people as scared as possible to keep the donations rolling in.
To that end they will create infringement, just so they have something to fight.
If no new gun laws were proposed for a few years, their donations would dry up, and they know it.
