See for yourself!! They look great and a good amount of apples on them. I need to clean them up a bit and train a few more branches, but I’ve been too damn busy.By the way. How are those apple trees coming along this year?

Nice, I’ve always wanted to try that.See for yourself!! They look great and a good amount of apples on them. I need to clean them up a bit and train a few more branches, but I’ve been too damn busy.
Super easy. It just takes a bit of work. I love it and super interesting conversation piece.Nice, I’ve always wanted to try that.
Try this. I’ve used it before. It’s not foolproof, but it does work .I have a bunch of little fly like gnat things eating my plants fruits and leaves.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to control them to save my plants without poisoning then?
I’ll make it even easier for you. Take a gallon of warm water and place about a teaspoon of dawn dishwashing soap in there, shake, and spray. It’s easy and super effective. It won’t repel and only kills who you make contact with. It suffocates them quickly and leave nothing harmful behind.I have a bunch of little fly like gnat things eating my plants fruits and leaves.

Trying an experiment, with an ancient Korean swamp water liquid fertilizer. Rotting vegetation and composting scraps in a covered barrel of water for a few weeks. Two week minimum before use. The longer it rots the better it is. Just keep adding to it when necessary and stir.

That is a bit of a drawback but it will be my neighbors problem if he’s out. I’ll be wearing a mask when I stir this heady brew.
Been very dry.My garden is sooooo dry. Tomatoes are doing really well, though. I've lost a couple pea plants to the dry, as well as a couple pepper plants.
I really need to add a couple more 55 gallon drums to my rain water system, and a gutter on the front of my shed to catch more water. I'm only minimally watering right now just trying to stretch the water out as much as I can.
I’m sure the nutrients would be great for the plants however just be careful with watering that stuff too soon to when you’re harvesting because I’m sure there are bad bacteria in there that can make you ill if consumed.Trying an experiment, with an ancient Korean swamp water liquid fertilizer. Yes there likely is. It is strictly for new plant growth and nutrient enhancement in young developing plants. At no time should it be used directly on vegetable plants with vegetable growth on them and never watered directly onto plants near harvest time.I’m sure the nutrients would be great for the plants however just be careful with watering that stuff too soon to when you’re harvesting because I’m sure there are bad bacteria in there that can make you ill if consumed.
Smart move and that’s a great plan. I just don’t want to see you or anyone in your family get sick. Let me know how it works. I used pond water at times.Yes there likely is. As I stated , this is just an experiment at this point , to see if it is worth the effort to make and maintain. As a liquid fertilizer in the early stages of plant growth I have little doubt as to it’s benefits. I’m currently three and a half weeks behind the growing season this year and was looking for something organic to boost my plant growth . We shall see. Thanks for the warning though.
I got the yellowing of my peppers and tomatoes figured out. The soil lacked nutrients and they are very heavy feeders. The plants are turning around very quickly and growing nicely now.
I added some Epsoma’s plant food and I added some grass seed starter food/fertilizer. I added the fertile for a quick jump of food since it’s water Soluble and quickly available to the plants. The epsoma’s breakdown slower and feed longer. I’ve got a few peppers on the plants now. Yeah!!
diseases are low. The dry weather keeps many problems from happeningStarting to get our first tomatoes. Most of my plants are 4'-5'. I've managed to keep the diseases low.
Have lots of Swiss chard ready too.
Herbs are growing well.
Fall kale is coming up as seedlings.
New round of radishes going.

IS SOMEONE STEALING FROM US?
We put up a trail camera after we picked up the beets. We will find out soon

Mulching can harbor some diseases so just watch out with that. You seem to be well versed so I’m sure you’re aware. They are heavy on my land , but I take a lot of natural mitigation steps like heavy mulch and pruning vertically away from the ground as they grow. I had a line of green zebra variety too for awhile that seemed to handle our local diseases well. Sadly I stopped growing for about 4 years and ended up letting the seeds go. (, I saved my own seeds for about 3 years.)
We have a huge animal issue so I tend to grow things that animals don't like to eat. Nightshade family, beet family (high acid content), any anything else goes in containers.
We have enough slugs to feed an army too. Really hard on beans and pea family plants.
Nice haul even on those blackberries. Honestly I’m not surprised with how hot and dry it’s been that they went quickly.even though it’s been pretty dry our garden has been coming along pretty good. We’ve been eating nice Zucchini for a couple of weeks now, some pickling cucumbers are ready to be picked and pickled and our second head of red leaf lettuce will be picked this week. Also harvested our garlic this past weekend . I got 2 doz. decent garlic heads drying in the shed. All our blackberries came and went in a flash this year . We picked fresh berries every morning for breakfast the last two plus weeks and enough for a couple of pies, but they are pretty much gone now.
You’re a farmer now!! Wow that’s a lot of veg.I put in a 90 foot row of black crim. These are Crimean…I also put in a 90 foot row of purple Cherokee…they look identical but the black crim have a slightly smoky flavor. 3 60 foot rows of cukes…5 60 foot rows of zucchini…4 90 foot rows of peppers and 5 100 foot rows of exotic pumpkins. I put in two rows of eggplant and the restaurants really like them but I tried preparing them every way that I could think of…meh just not for me. Ohh and fuck autocorrect
