The Ham'r would be interesting if I didn't already have a 30 Herrett (TAC 30). The TAC 30 is strictly wildcat though - a fairly easy one, but still, you need to make every round.
Ham'r looks like a long 300 BO tailored to short bullets. TAC 30 is very similar but based on the 6.8 case so it gets a little more. The biggest issue with both is that the usable bullets aren't very aerodynamic. They start out with better numbers than the others but fall behind quickly. Still, the Ham'r seems to fit your intended use well and it's much better than the BO.
Cheapest ammo I saw on Wilson's site was $17.95. I haven't found it anywhere else but since it's a WC creation, that doesn't surprise me. Shipping to an FFL or through an out-of-state friend might be your only real options.
