According to local Las Vegas news outlet Metro 5, key details surrounding the motive cannot be released because “additional suspects,” are still under investigation. Sheriff Lombardo previously claimed only one person is under investigation.

Metro lawyer Nick Crosby believes information about the additional suspects could be revealed in 60 days.

Metro 5 reports:

Inside a district courtroom on Jan. 16, a lawyer for multiple media outlets argued why information pertaining to 1 October is crucial to helping Las Vegas heal, but the lawyer for Metro Police said they can’t release any information because there are still suspects being investigated.

“Without naming names, there are potential charges against other people, because of the ongoing investigation?”, District Court Judge Elissa Cadish asked Metro’s Lawyer Nick Crosby.

“Yes there are charges being investigated,” Crosby replied. That was the biggest piece of new information revealed Tuesday. Lawyers for Metro police squared off with lawyers representing multiple media outlets over the unsealing of search warrants and evidence seized. […]

“Are they investigating obstruction of justice? Lies to Metro under oath from Mandalay Bay employees? Is it people who sold [Paddock] the guns or ammunition? A theory floated by a member of my family that is in law enforcement is that he was selling guns. The shooter's whole family history is criminal, dad, brothers, uncles. It is not a surprise that he would be involved in illegal sale of weapons.
The story is that he lived in Vegas and made $100K per year gambling. Really? The casinos would be broke in 2 days if that were possible. He had a source of income, but it was not the casinos.
There had to be other shooters, probably his gun customers.

The document also explains that there was “probable cause” and cited the following violations A through D:

b. – Violence at International Airport – 18 U.S.C. and

c. Unlawful Interstate Transport/Delivery of Firearms by Non Federal

Actually Freddie, the facts in the case as presented by law enforcement lead me to suspect he was selling guns early on. . Hes was conducting himself with multiple actions consistent with gun running . I could not prove it to you beyond a doubt , but the evidence of it was very strong. Now we have documents from law enforcement that confirm He was indeed selling guns .

The whole reason people question the story is because they simply lack the proper information . There is no transparency here.

CNN simply said some people got shot and walked away . End of story.

when a bomb went off in NYC , 30 minutes later they showed the video , when a bomb went off in Boston less than 15 minutes later they began showing videos . 3 months after the shooting and we haven't seen ANY hotel footage of Paddock . People want to know why. Sorry but That's not crazy .

The only reason I can come up with is because he was with other people . Other wise it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
