Speaking to a Dealer Saturday; they were registered, but unable to access the site (not operational) they had to open a checking account and deposit money into it that will be drafted automatically every time a check is performed. (wonder if it'll be every access and not just actual check?) either way, I'll bet they have no problems taking the money irrespective if they can actually perform the check or do it in a timely manner.
I wouldn't be surprised if they started treating it the same as the Speed Pass where you have to "deposit" $25. to start and when it dips to $15. they automatically charge you another $25. so it's quite probable the State has $40. of your money at any given time... I suppose it makes sense to people that have to cross toll bridges and roads frequently, but for those who only use it a few times a year it isn't fair, and if you don't have it and they send you a bill for the Toll they spank the shit out of you.

I cannot tell you how much it pisses me to have to even log ammo sales. The idea of telling the state about EVERY transaction, ugh.
But as a FFL you’re complying with the new BGC regs, right? Of course you are- you don’t want to lose your business, your guns and quite possibly your freedom. It’s noble to talk about not complying, never spending another dollar at a NYS gun shop, etc, but who is that hurting? It’s certainly NOT going to hurt NYS as far as the Democrats are concerned. Turning tail and bolting is EXACTLY what they want. Giving up before it starts is not how you win. Willful non-compliance only increases the negative views of gun owners in NYS by those who make the laws, and likely ends up costing the rebel dearly.

I do not consider myself a coward, not do I consider it turnng tail and running. Willful noncompliance? No, opting to go where I can excercise my rights more freely, yes. Unlawful is unlawful. At this point it is not illegal to go out of state and buy ammo. If you want to give your name, rank (literally) and address to buy ammo, go for it.
Had some Amish doing work for me. They are having their kin in PA and Ohio get them ammo. They don't have IDs so they haven't been able to get ammo the passed year. Tomorrow they will be really screwed.
As a "seller of ammunition" it might be fun and worth the couple bucks to send in some checks with a willing participant to see what the threshold is.
That and reloading will be illegal.

There is a process for this which is FINALLY spelled out on the Q&A sheet. I have ben doing it since that damn 30 day thing started. Do a NICS, if no answer, wait 30 days. Don't do another one prior or the ATF will jump on you (I found that out by accident.) Then do another and wait the Brady Law time and you should be good.For most folks $2.50 for the BG check to buy ammo isn't much money. But it's the tracking, and another slap in the face from NYS.
For me it's more than that. A year or so ago my FFL sent in the 4473 for a S&W 9 mil I bought and I got put on the fuk'n 30 day merry-go-round that Andy Cuomo came up with when he was gov. No denial but Mr. FFL says he can't turn the gun over to me. So essentially, I might not even be able to purchase ammo in NYS for the pistols I've had on my permit for 20 years!! And I believe it's only a matter of time before Hochul or whoever is next in line, makes it illegal to buy ammo out of state and bring it into NYS. This shit is beyond frustrating
