Be great if it got flagged for fraud and shutdown.Wouldn’t it be great if the Feds viewed all of the piddly little $9.00 and $2.50 transactions as structuring and shut it all down?

I’m sure this will be the case. What I’m wondering is if an FFL does 100 ammo background checks if the banks will get pissed if 100 $2.50 transfers go out. I’m wondering if it will cost the banks tons of time, money, and server space or something like that. I don’t know much how it works but there’s a reason laces say minimum credit card charge or whatever is $10.I wouldn't be surprised if they started treating it the same as the Speed Pass where you have to "deposit" $25. to start and when it dips to $15. they automatically charge you another $25. so it's quite probable the State has $40. of your money at any given time... I suppose it makes sense to people that have to cross toll bridges and roads frequently, but for those who only use it a few times a year it isn't fair, and if you don't have it and they send you a bill for the Toll they spank the shit out of you.
Not that it matters, but as I recall from when I had my retail store, that is against the TOS of the CC processors.I’m sure this will be the case. The irony is that the same person that bought the gun that the criminal/Prohibited Person couldn't himself ALSO bought the ammunition... THEY KNOW it's a bullshit sham that'll do nothing but hamper the legitimate gun owners, the dumbest of which will think it's a great idea because it comes from Democrats that are "doing something"... yea, fucking us over.Worse state in the Nation! Background check for ammo.. Are ya kidding?
Not sure exactly how the fee collection works, but if it's anything like sales tax, it'll be reported and collected quarterly or something like that. Not one transaction at a time.It will probably piss the banks off, all this for $2.50. I’d love for the banks to tell nys this isn’t sustainable
The Fee will be collected by the State from the Dealer the moment they log on to enter information. (that's what they said in the on-line Training)Not sure exactly how the fee collection works, but if it's anything like sales tax, it'll be reported and collected quarterly or something like that. The banks won't care, they'll absorb it either way.
I won't buy anything firearm related with a bank card. Cash only.
More than just the state that has an interest in knowing what you buy and what you own.
Good to know. The Fee will be collected by the State from the Dealer the moment they log on to enter information. (that's what they said in the on-line Training)
Yep. The cluster-fuck has begun. The system is currently NOT WORKING. Our rights have been eliminated. You can see the Firing Pin video here:Firing Pin had a video of the system not wrong already
I’m torn between sticking to my principles when it comes to refusing to use this new system, but at the same time, not wanting local stores to lose business because of it.I said I was not going to succumb to a background check for ammo and I am going to stick to it. But I think during my lunch break I will call Bass Pro and Runnings and ask if they have been able to sell ammo. I am curious if this system is going to work (I have doubts it will).
I won't for ammo. I am gonna wait things out and see what happens in a few months. I still plan to purchase long guns/pistols, well maybe.I’m torn between sticking to my principles when it comes to refusing to use this new system, but at the same time, not wanting local stores to lose business because of it.
There is no LEO exemption spelled out in the ammunition BGC portion of this legislation as of today. There is already a good system in place by the Feds..I dont see why NY thinks they can do it better...I bet they do...but its also to make more hoops to go through more time and more steps....just want to get us to say screw it and not buy firearms and ammo......and Oh yeah..system down today..I cant sell any ammo.......is that how it is now that its crashed aready....no one can Sell ammo...its all a farce to make it hard to excersize our God given right......and they want to not only stumblie it up but to have record of everyone that has excersized that right to try to get em later...........by the way..has anyone heard...is Leo exempt from this ....this....garbage...
I’m not talking about you as the purchaser but the ffl. The $2.50 fee per check has been talked about and an account is to be set up. What I’m wondering is if the banks can even process these checks. How many gun and ammo checks will be done daily? Thousands would be my guess and at busy points it could be 100’s of thousands. Not sure exactly how the fee collection works, but if it's anything like sales tax, it'll be reported and collected quarterly or something like that. I’m shocked.Firing Pin had a video of the system not wrong already
"You seem to be acting suspiciously. I'll need to search the vehicle."Put the ammo in the trunk, cover it well. They can't search without a warrant. People have been doing it for years with fireworks and cigs. Its the idiots that have the stuff in the open the cops can see that get busted.
Sure does. Happened to me once many years ago. I still told them I wanted to see a warrant. They ended up letting me go. May not happen all the time, maybe they do end up breaking your balls enough to instill fear and give in."You seem to be acting suspiciously. I'll need to search the vehicle."
Happens all the time.
Always make the fuckers work for it. I will never be the "I've got nothing to hide" guy. Fuck that. Know your rights and make them earn your tax dollars. Un-exercised rights quickly become privilege's. Just like this law, buy ammo and hold their feet to the fire. I'm planning on buying 22lr one box at a time to jam up their shit for worthless transactions. It is a cheap fuck you in my opinion. I will feel better about that than donating the $$$ to the NRA to fight this for us 10 years from now.Sure does. Happened to me once many years ago. I still told them I wanted to see a warrant. Even if they did get a warrant.....what did ya do wrong? Its ammo, its not illegal to transport.
