Last time I was there I overheard a conversation between a customer and employee. He was saying if you have the Cabelas credit card your limit goes up to 8 boxes or something similar. Also he explained even when they get a delivery, it won't hit the shelves until the next day. Sounded like overnight workers stock the shelves.

I have a few friends that work there, mostly firearm sales. They have said much of the same. I have not heard of a high limit for Cabela's members, would not be surprised though.

Walmart JC had only a few boxes of 20g #5 today.
Everything was the same price as it has been for the last year. 30-06 around $1 per. 22lr at just over 5 cents. Felt like a liquidation sale compared to what I've been seeing since November!

I almost put together a 7.62 x 39 last year for the very reason that we are experiencing. Seems to plenty of ammo available. Plus it can be reloaded into a very nice hunting round.

A very good old friend of mine died a couple of weeks ago. We've known each other for about 40 years. He lived about an hour away. A few months ago he texted me that he just did an ammo count . . . 23k . . . his wife called me last night asking for help with his guns and ammo . . . headed there tomorrow.

I haven't really been looking for ammo, as I have some (not a lot probably to some of your standards), but I was at the Johnson City Wal-Mart about a week ago or so, and they had nothing. Not a single box of ammo anywhere.

I stopped looking locally early last year. Now all purchase are online delivered to my front door. Almost all of my purchases are through TSUSA. Became a store member so shipping is free. Have a 100 round order of CCI Blazer .40 SW 165gr coming in the mail tomorrow. Prices seem to be coming down a bit.

They are about out of 9mm but still have close to a full shelf of 150 round m855 green tips for $89

Just stopped in at a local academy sports trying to see what it's like here. Same shortage. Very strict 2 boxes per customer policy. Very limited selection a few boxes of hornady 20 rd .223
Maybe 30 boxes of cci stinger .22lr. A few .22mag .17
About 10 boxes of ammo inc. 10mm. (side note this is one of the most readily available pistol ammo I've seen this entire shortage it makes me want one)
And for the first time saw some steel cased 5.45 russian.
Cashier said sometimes people wait in line at 3am on days they get restocked to get first pick of ammo. So it doesn't sound any better here.
I made my 2 box selection of .22stingers for 8.99 and 20 hornady 55gr for 11.99
