went to sons wedding this weekend in GA...stayed in SC. Looked everywhere hoping I may get lucky...same thing..NOTHIN?!

At runnings in Lockport and they have ammo at decent prices. I saw 30 boxes of American 9mm for 19.99 (50 round boxes) 30 boxes of fiochi 9mm for 19.99 (50 round boxes) 30 boxes of Aquila 22LR hollow point for 16.99 (250 round boxes)
I saw a couple of boxes of 308, 2 boxes of 45 acp, couple of boxes of 6.5 creedmoor, and various shotgun calibers.
They limit you to one box of ammo total per day, so bring the wife and you can get 2 boxes. I grabbed myself 1 box of the federal American eagle 115gr 9mm for the 19.99. Considering how ammo has been priced I think that price is decent.

As badly as I want ammo I won't pay gouging prices. I refuse to. I won't reward those trying to exploit this mess. I'm not that desperate. I'm ok paying a small premium maybe 25% over pre panic prices but much over that I'm really thinking about it.

Stopped into DD’s ranch and runnings today. Runnings had no ammo at all, DD’s had a couple of boxes of 45acp for $1 around and not much else.

I went to Walmart this weekend and not one single box of any ammo on the shelf.
Same. I haven't seen ANY at my local Walmart in months.

A local Walmart around here has been getting shipments occasionally. It doesn’t last long. I scored 300 rounds 22 CCI mini mags and 12g Federal target rounds recently.

I don't think most wholesalers have the space to sit on that kind of inventory. And the Big Boys - Cabelas, Midway, Walmart, etc are buying direct.

Ammo prices are definitely coming down. Online 9mm is under 50 cents. Primers are still outrageous though.
People that understand grade school economics understand this.
It's a shame the "fuck your feelings" crowd so often starts crying "gouging" when they didn't prepare.

I stopped by g's shooting sports in orange county. He actually had a decent selection of ammo for the first time in months. Even 38 special. Still pricey tho.
The only place to reliably have ammo in orange county as far as I know seems to be Davis. However Davis is typically 15-20% more expensive than everywhere else so I don't like supporting them

Big box stores have dried up. Small shops get some. 223 and buckshot in, but not much else.
I haven't seen a box of .308 that was some tarted up premium stuff in a long time. Lgs wanted $53/box for what they had, which was some nosler federal load.
That was over my limit.

There is a lot of quantity showing up online lately. We need to stick together and not pay excessive prices for it. Once it sits and inventory increases, prices will drop.

.17, .22, 9mm, .45, .38spl, .223/5.56, 30-06, .308 and even a small amount of .30-30. Far from 2019 prices but at least it’s there.
LGS has .357 for $33 a box. Dicks for $30 a box.
Chinamart had .270, .308, 100 round boxes of target 12ga all at normal prices.
Seems to be getting better, prices down a bit and the expensive stuff sitting on shelves now.
Long way to go though.

I like Master Class in Monroe. I haven't been there in a while because of the kung-flu nonsense they were doing.
Cosenza in Monroe is good. Prices might be a bit higher, and he can be a bit abrasive, but I get along well with him.
Thruway in Walden used to have a huge selection, but has higher prices and is picked over. Also, some of the help aren't the brightest.
The Gun Lady in Port Jervis and Sportsman's Garage in Godeffroy are both smaller shops, but are run by really good people.
Just north of Newburgh is Wallkill River Small Arms. Its a nice little shop and Frank is a great guy.
