Agreed. Instead of making new designs, everyone is trying to perfect someone else's design. I'd really like to see something new come out.

It's a peak at the functional level. Everything else is just cosmetic.

Changing the material doesn't change the design anyways. Even if they were steel or aluminum they would look the same and everyone would still be complaining everything looks the same.

It passed each test individually. It failed the sand test when running the guanlet. Your Sig failed in every test.

More to the point thought, everyone is making polymer stiker guns for the same reason everyone is making DI ARs. That is what people are buying.

I don't own a 226 or a 320. The GLOCK FAILED. Get that zero 1. Only way to be safe .

Because the tests are a sample of one and they are totally overdone. That gauntlet will never happen in the real world. I hope we find one that passes eventually. I hope it's the ugliest gun with the worst ergos ever haha

Correct. However if a firearm passes one, the likelihood of failures happening in the real world in a situation where it goes long periods of time without cleaning are way less.
