CA is committed to the "incredible transition", but they have some deniability due to the law providing for automatic annual tax increases.

My electic bill came the other day, It went up a couple bucks but still in the range of typical. With a few exceptions my bill is +/- $20 every month for the last 15 years. I call bullshit on the usage charts, it never makes any sense. Summer is always higher, fall is always the lowest, I dont use AC. The only notable differance in consumption is I heat water with electric may to october, but the usage charts do not reflect that that at all.
It's been seasonable and nice the last two months so A/C has been off and of course the heat, Hot Water is Electric (new) and 99% of lighting is LED, two of us our last National Gride Bill was $182. and the month before $171. That's what we normally pay for the dead of Winter when we're using Natural Gas to heat and an increased Electrical load... I'm telling you now a LOT of people are going to be seriously fucked this Winter!

Yes, people are going to choose eat versus heat. Notice heat and eat, take out the H off heat, and you gotta eat.
While some of us are proactively working on using renewable energy from our lands (AKA TREES/WOOD), some will not have that luxury of heat this winter, cause they gotta eat or they don't have the wood burning device in their domicile.
I'm surprised people haven't gotten too ticked off about the fuel prices. I still see plenty of folks on the road flooring their vehicles around. It's rather interesting.
I agree though, some people are going to be seriously fucked this Winter.

heil hochul managed to get them to drop the NYS gas tax by a whopping $0.16 per gallon. That wasn't even the totality of the tax NY imposes on gasoline! It was a pittance designed to keep the plebs happy.
The resident in diapers mumbled something about suspending the Federal gas tax, but I haven't see where that has gained any traction.

Prices around here dropped about $0.13 the day it went into effect.
By the next day the price was right back up where it started.

Basic chemistry and thermodynamics says that is bullshit.
Water has a specific binding energy compared to molecular hydrogen and oxygen. That is how much energy you get when you burn hydrogen and oxygen, and that is how much it takes to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen (plus losses due to inefficiency). There are lots of bad ways to do that, but the best way possible even in theory can't be better than 100% efficient.
If you could do what he's talking about with the HHO BS, you could build a perpetual motion machine.
What you can do that's sort of HHOish would be to put the water molecule in an excited state that allows you to split it easier, but the energy to put it into that state can never be less than the amount of energy you saved in the split.

Easy to make a car burn hydrogen. Browns gas is just a hydrogen oxygen mix. You could convert whatever you're driving to run on hydrogen without too much difficulty.
Impossible make one that burns water. Water is already the most stable arrangement of hydrogen and oxygen.
You can make browns gas out of water pretty easily. But it takes more energy to make it than you can possibly get out by burning it.
So, at best he built an alternative to an electric car that stores energy in the form of browns gas instead of a battery.
Maybe there's some merit to that plan in place of an electric vehicle, but probably not. In either case it doesn't "burn water".
What are the emissions from the vehicle ? Should be just water. If it's just water coming out of the tail pipe, how are you burning water ?
If you're claiming you put in more water than you got out, and you extracted energy in the process, congratulations, you must have built a fusion reactor LOL. If that's the case, a gallon would probably last you a lifetime.

Yes, all bullshit. The supposed inventor also claimed that he could travel from NY to LA on 22 gallons of water, in a 60's vintage VW powered dunebuggy. Even if we ignore the 20%ish efficiency of that engine, there is just no way that there is that much energy in 22 gallons water broken down to HHO to even come close to that claim.
