I mean, of course the State of the Union speech was full of bluster and baseless optimism. That’s just how it goes.
His speaking gaffes were numerous. I even saw Pelosi’s eyes flutter a bit in...disgust? Annoyance?...at one of his gaffes. I’m not one of those people who even remotely thinks I can or should diagnose a cognitive issue from afar, especially because he has a diagnosed and well-documented history of legit speech impediments, but that single moment made me think that even heavy hitter Democrat insiders are weary and perhaps worried.
