I shouldn't. I will literally want to just disconnect, drop off the grid and go live in the hills.

I'm far more paranoid/aware than most and I readily realize we are being spied on and tracked in far more ways than I can comprehend and I'm pretty creative and think outside the box.

All joking aside, from what I understand the NSA private espionage programs have been gradually scaled back and shutdown over the years primarily due to a lack of useful intelligence gleaned. Political and legal pressure helped a little as well. Echelon was actually a thing but shutdown years ago.

This is one of those cases where a movie is less scary than the reality.
There are so many things that are not even referenced by movies because they cannot be interpreted in a movie script the average human can understand.

Yes many programs are shutdown yet historically they are replaced by even larger and more effective ones. Sometimes dozens of projects are merged in a new technology or platform. It happens with all weapons systems, and intelligence being the most powerfull of all weapons, is no exception.

They do not record everything.

But they have the capacity to record anything.

They can also draw conclusions that you would not think are possible.

I mentioned earlier that your cell provider can probably tell when you use the bathroom. They really *can* do that if they want.

Now that doesn't mean they've got a file sitting on a server somewhere with time stamps and sizes, but anytime someone in power decides they *do* want that information, it's available.

It's like the 4473's. The feds are legally prohibited from creating a registration database.

So they just make all the FFLs do it for them.

The ATF doesn't have a database of every gun sold in the US. But they *can* access that information anytime they want by telling the FFL's to jump.

I know that the vast majority of internet traffic is only looked as as a statistical sample, but they can get every packet from anyone they want anytime they want *without your ISP even knowing*.

You ISP is legally required to give them that access. They can only tap .01% of their customers at a time, but they can choose that .01% at will, and the ISP can't tell which they are.

Yeah so if Facebook can do it I’m sure the nsa can and is doing it. Are they paying attention to me? Maybe now that we are talking about this but on a day to day basis likely not. Although I did recently say I think some one will try to assassinate Biden. Not hoping for it or anything I just think the crazies on both sides are coming out and there will be a serious attempt on his life. Of course this will cause more problems for the USA sadly.
