I feel they HONORED the Pagan beliefs.
But I also believe many Pagan Gods are simply the Christian God - Saints - and Angels, by different names.
That is generally how you successfully convert Pagans to Chirstianity.
Not by mocking them, but by showing them how the new religion simply builds on, and perfects, the old.

Christianity began as a religion with absolute compassion and good intentions.
That's something that has been in the human soul since the beginning.
And something specific - with no disrespect to our Savior - stories of neither Virgin Birth nor Rising from the Dead were anything new.
I happen to believe the Christian version actually happenned, but both ideas existed before.
This is one way of looking at it. A positive way.
But, if the Xtians took the beliefs in an honorable way, they would announce and recognize that their current holidays are really all(most) pagan. They do not.

If they truly honored their beliefs, they wouldn't be trying to convert them.
And saying "your gods are just different names for our gods" is not honoring them, it's belittling them in an attempt to drive people away from their beliefs.
Why not just let people worship as they want? Isn't that the whole point to the 1st Amendment?

Interesting case. Who has been harmed? Every elector in every state where the law was NOT followed. The 4 states subverted the constitutional process to elect electors. If the constitutional process is NOT followed, electors are defrauded due to violation of the law.
John Smith was an elector candidate. The law was not followed. John Smith did not win. John Smith was harmed.
In the common sense understanding of this, if the SCOTUS allows the actions of these 4 states to stand, then once any law is broken in the election process, any illegal activity is subject to be allowed for an election to be “won” by illegal means. This is the same problem that goes back to Bill Clinton lying under oath and Hillary Clinton committing felonies with her email system. When laws are broken, they must be enforced and punished, or there is no law.
Looks to me like the SCOTUS can rule in favor of the plaintiffs and offer at least two remedies to the states:

- By it’s illegal actions, the state disenfranchised all of the citizens who voted legally by allowing voting in an illegal manner. Throw out all ballots mailed, received and processed in an illegal manner. That action would allow all voters who voted legally to have their voice heard and their votes counted.
- Rule the entire election results tainted and instruct the state legislatures to choose electors in accordance with the United States Constitution.
