Hopefully more people realize what this proposal will do. It's not just about the AR or ghost guns. It will also change rules on many of the handguns being produced. Background checks on uppers and slides because they will now be serialized. So far only 35,600 comments is not going to stop this shit.

So the M855 and Brace rule proposals had one thing in common. Election year politics. In 2016 Hillary was trying to get elected against a “pro gun” candidate the republicans put up. In 2020 Trump was trying for re-election and after the bump stock fiasco he could not afford any anti gun govt flunky producing rules that shows him to be the slightest bit anti gun.
Biden is anti gun and will not be seeking re-election this will be an uphill fight compared to the other two. Not that it cannot be won in the court of public opinion but it will need to be tied to the midterms if it is to get any pressure from the Whitehouse.

Here’s a thread regarding the matter since it doesn’t seem to be gaining much traction anywhere else on this forum and I’d like for it to get seen by as many members as possible. I made sure I left a comment regarding the new proposed stance made by the ATF regarding pistol braces. Everyone else should make sure they do as well. Click the attached link and scroll down to “Submit a comment”, it’s very simple and easy. Too many people like to complain, whine, and spend hours arguing online regarding firearm restrictions (which I agree are ridiculous to begin with) but are too lazy to spend a few minutes to type a quick well thought out comment that could possibly help stop the ATF implementing additional unconstitutional restrictions on our rights. Do your part and spend literally a few minutes to make your voice heard. This is not my quote, but it’s still a good one nonetheless...
