I've never been a bulpup fan but that one's pretty cool looking.
I always loved the AUG (while also understanding its shortcomings, as with all bulpups)
But it looks like based on what I've seen in the video so far, these guys actually find ways around the normal bulpup failings

Have you guys seen the RFB? Or is there no love because it's a Kel Tec? The RFB has been around since 2008. Here's me shooting mine. Very good trigger and soft recoiling.

Right but 1... it's a kel tec sooooo there might be 8 available each year.
2 this addresses some of the issues that even the kel tec has as a bulpup
(Oh and watching the shooting video it does have a break in period and ammo picky.... no wolf)
Oh and it is in 7.62 NATO but they will be releasing a 5.56 barrel and magwel adapter for conversion. (And eventually 300blk)

Too finicky, too iffy with different ammo's. My old Springfield M1A would eat anything, never had a malfunction. I really like the idea, but they aren't there yet, not even close.

That shooting video unfortunately showed to me that the innovative ejection system is not quite up to snuff. For the money I think I would rather have the LMT MWS 308.

I agree actually. New designs take a lot of time and effort to refine into the best it can be.
The AR15 is such a great rifle because of the decades of refinement that went into it.
I hope that Desert Tech is able to get a contract that provides the capital to do this. Right now it's a bit of a tough sell to the civilian consumer.
Optimising the production process to get the cost and therfore the price down will also be necessary. Unfortunately I doubt there will be the money or time for this to happen, there is too much competition in the market I think.

I only shoot steel for my 47 and 74. I try like hell to preserve everything else. I have brass catchers for my ars so i get 100% recovery. Funny thing is those along with 9mm and 45acp are the ones I mind losing the least. My DE brass I make sure to find each and every one. The nice thing about the DE is the brass doesn't go very far at all. Then 308 out of the keltec lands right in front of me. That's very nice. Pistols I just have to try and keep track. The VZ61 sucks with brass because it goes so high and behind and the casings are so small. I can't conceive a way of making a brass catcher for it. The pps43 launches brass into neighboring counties and also can't think of a way to make a brass catcher. I would shoot steel out of the pps as well but it seems no one has it anymore. Being able to shoot on my own property helps though.

Ok so I finally watched the video. Wow. That thing is quite bad! Even if it was fully refined and working 100% I think the Kel Tec is superior in pretty much every way. Since the Kel Tec ejects out of the front there is no need to switch plates or anything of the sort to be ambi. The charging handle can easily be swapped to either side and I think that's better than being on both sides for snagging purposes. If you need to clear the weapon with an unfired case you simply pull the bolt back like on almost any other rifle. And the biggest thing that stood out to me (especially if they wanted to market it for military contracts like they talked about in the video) is gas adjustment. You have to use a tool to take off the handguard to access the gas adjustment! On the Kel Tec it's right on the outside clear as day and can be rotated with your thumb and pointer. No way is the DT ready for prime time outside of range toy use.

Never liked bullpups. The standard 16" AR15 has sufficient ballistics and handiness for most uses.
