I want one!

My only major complaint about the LAR-PDS is that the short rail under the barrel, in conjuntion with that 'blocked end' handguard, makes it almost impossible to put anything good on there. My TLR-1s and -2s won't fit; not even close.

They do make a version with a full rail on the bottom in place of that handguard and if I were choosing it myself to buy NIB I would have chosen that one. I bought mine 'used' but unfired from another forum fella already with that set-up for a really good deal so that's what I got. The magazine fixing work was already done (by collectors rifle I believe) so he could buy it to begin with.

It is a bit on the heavy side. I have only carried it a few times. When I do, it is in a shoulder holster.

S&W Shield 9mm on the right, Walther PPQ on the left. Shield carries like a dream, PPQ shoots like a dream. Need to find a more suitable holster for the PPQ I think.

Thank ya, thank ya! I found a guy online that only does 1911 custom grips..expensive but totally worth it. He had like 100 selections, and would even make what you asked if it was doable he says..I've since lost the website and bookmark after changing devices and doing updates
