Did I just hear her say you can get a concealed carry in Iowa at 19 years old? I thought it was 21 in all states?
5 seconds after her saying that i googled, and so you can carry permitless outside of city limits in idaho at 18.... which means no you couldnt carry in another state

So what I got from this is that every amendment that the libs tried to sneak in were shot down. Not clear on the "nics fix" though. Was it denied to be separate from HR 38 or denied all together?

I get it, its easy to be taken out of context and butt heads. Ill say that jmac has been around a long time and id consider him a patriot from all his postings over the years. Sometimes things just get heated.
When I’m in driving mode, I carry two 9mm Shields in a modified dual Triple K black leather shoulder holster. Each holster is actually the one sized for the Shield 45, so they fit the 9mm Shield just a touch looser than the one for the Shield 9mm, which makes for an easier draw. Each holster also has a snap thumb break. They hold the Shield in a horizontal position.
The shoulder rig is very soft leather, and fully adjustable. It is also easy to slip on over my head, and to take off as well.
Worn under any coat they are completely hidden. My right hand covers any external vehicle threats, and the left covers the rest. I also have 4 spare 10 round ProMag extended mags for 62 rounds total on hand.

I think this would actually still be in our favor as NYC DOES have a concealed carry permit that can be issued so they as a city would have to honor other licenses/permits

and you have a permit from FL or another state coming TO NY ... ?? does not override state law when where and manner of CCW

I was addressing your statement that we wouldn't be able to carry in NYC without a NYC permit.
Or are you now wanting to talk about a Florida license?
As for the last part which is what I think you are trying to imply about the penal law stating a gun must be on the NY license.
No that statement is talking about how say one state doesn't allow carrying in an establishment that serves alcohol, this bill doesn't negate that for someone coming from a state that does allow it, the person visiting would still not be allowed to carry in that prohibited place

As I understand it in its’ present form, as an upstate NY holder of an Unrestricted CCW, I would have to follow NY laws that would not allow me to carry in NYC, or to have any handgun mags over 10 round capacity.
HOWEVER, under HR 38 as currently written, if I were to obtain an out of state permit (say FL, for example,- which I could obtain even without having a NY permit), I could then use the FL permit to carry in any of the 50 states and in the District of Criminals, as well as in NYC. And as I further understand it, NY restrictions on handgun weight, and for magazine capacity would essentially be bypassed by way of my out of state permit.
If that is actually the case, then HR 38 would basically gut our NY handgun permitting scheme, and those of the other anti states as well. Seems like the only problem would be the inability of residents of the anti states without permits in their home states to purchase new handguns since they have to be sold through a FFL in your home state and then you would have to follow the anti’s permitting schemes.
So, if I’m understanding this correctly, AND it gets passed as written, it seems like it would be a pretty damn big thing, and a huge stick in the eyes of the anti states.

So to those that only have NY permits and want make sure FUAC can't do anything to null the effects of this bill (all assuming it does pass), now might a good time to take a day trip to PA to get a LTFC in that state as a precaution.

I agree but whose to say that out of state ccw won't become null and void at the time this is signed into law? This is all just speculation of course and I would urge people to still get their out of state ccw while they still can but this is a whole other facet I never even considered.
