The LE that makes the stop gets to make the call. After your lawyer and much dollars you may win. So if you are legal why wouldn't you do whats written and inform the LE?

Leo's already go into every stop expecting the person to be armed. If I'm getting pulled over for a head light being out or a fishing for dwi why would I want to introduce even more stress to the situation by yelling I have a gun (exaggrating because some of yall would think I actually mean yell)
Hell do you all carry a pocket knife? If so and you get pulled over for say a tail light being out do you tell the officer you have a knife on you?

There is no duty to inform in the entire state of NY and that is a fact. There is also nothing that counties can do to try and force people into exposing themselves for carrying weapons. LE most certainly do not make the call here. Do not take everything that your county's "handbook" says verbatim. Much of is not law and is cryptically worded to make you think that it is. All a game to try and keep you under as much control as possible.
I agree that the State makes the law but the County puts the restrictions. If your covered by that County then you make the call anyway you want.

It basically goes like this.
Scenario 1.
You are speeding or blow a stop sign. He pulls you over and asks you for your license and registration. You comply just like any other person. You get your ticket or warning just like the soccer mom before you or the older guy after you with the realtree jacket that has a permit but wasn't carrying and didn't inform.
Scenario 2.
An Officer approaches your vehicle and for whatever reason whether immediately or after asking you for your license and registration and taking it, he suspects you of a crime. He says, " Sir! I'm going to need you to step out of the vehicle."
You say, "Sir. I am a licensed concealed carrier. I am required by law to inform you that I'm carrying. How would you like me to proceed?"
You are only going to be asked to step out of the vehicle if he suspects you of a crime. If he suspects you of a crime, you'll be searched after stepping out of the vehicle.
If all he wants to do is run your license and issue a ticket or warning, you aren't suspected of a crime and will not be asked to step out of the vehicle for a search or detainment.
It's really that simple.

Instead if a blow a stop sign and all they ask is for normal shit papers. And people all have to be like hey so I got a gun wud up. Then try to justify it as "oh I'm being respectful to the officer by telling them even though I don't need to"
There is no need to if it's a normal stop, keep your hands where they belong and be normal it's easy.
Once the words I have a gun are said 1 of 2 things are going to happen
1 the cop will say I don't care (has happened to me, I had my reasons for informing them, it was out in the open and they would have saw it)
Or
2 now the cop is extra alert and threat focus and any move you make could be misconstrued and force escalates. Or the cop is going to be extra cop like and decide for some reason the smartest thing to do is they want to personally take your gun off of you. Sorry that doesn' sound fun or safe

Yup. There are 3 types of cops. One who doesn't care that you are carrying. Another that is afraid of you because you are carrying and another that doesn't like that you are carrying and is going to make your life harder by disarming you for quote unquote "His safety!" while making your life difficult and or in jeopardy if you make a wrong move.
Why introduce that factor into a car stop where all he wants to do is issue a ticket? Now you are putting your life in danger if you run into the last two types of cops.
Just comply with his commands of producing the license and registration. If he asks you if you are carrying which by case law he isn't supposed ask you, be honest. If he doesn't ask you just do what he tells you. If he tells you to step out of the vehicle, inform him.
Yup but when you don't comply then the judge pulls your permit. Good luck getting it back.

This is another arbitrary and subjective administrative requirement that the issuing officer adds to your pistol License. Just like the hunting and target administrative restrictions that so many Bozo licensing officers apply. In Celt's post #138 the guy referred to had the same thing happen. Speeding and non moving traffic violations. The issuing officer apparently took it upon themselves to use those as reasons to deny the License. Purely subjective on their part. So very often those who suggest that people with administrative restrictions should just ignore them because the issuing officer can revoke your license at any time for any reason they conjure up anyway. There is no difference in regards to this discussion.
As Airborneguy said. We need this bill to pass for more reasons than what we see on the surface.

At this point, I don't know that talking about it in the media would actually help us. Anybody that really cares is paying attention, it would be better for us, in my opinion, if the left and the sheep did not know much about this. They are not gonna be convinced that law abiding citizens carrying guns is a good idea.
Read previous post that had an article with a bunch of misinformation, that' the last thing we need being blasted all over the news prior to a vote. Especially something that is already most certainly going to fail at the Senate, no need to stack the deck even more
