Nothing is stopping you from having that. I don't understand where the argument is now.Right but why can't I have one that's legal to use and an illegal one hidden in the floorboard somewhere? Best of both worlds. No?
You still can do that.Right but why can't I have one that's legal to use and an illegal one hidden in the floorboard somewhere? Best of both worlds. No?
And there's nothing we can do about the 2013 law. If we wanted a folding stock AK, we would register it just like our pistols. Time has nothing to do with anything. It's the same concept.Because like I said the Sullivan act was before our time. Nothing we can do about that. Don't need to let them start the same thing with rifles.
The law is. If I have a fully-featured AR that's registered and they come and take it along with my pistols, then they are gone. If they find AR's in the floorboards, I still would be breaking the law and going to jail.Nothing is stopping you from having that. I don't understand where the argument is now.
The law is
How so? I can have one's protected in a floor boards with mag locks yes. But I can't have fully-featured one for legal, actual home use.You still can do that.
That doesn't help me if I don't want to go to jail.
Or MoveAlso you seem to be forgetting that some had ar's before 2013 and could register or not, but what about those who wanted an ar after that date? There are only a couple options for them. Featureless or fixed mag or nothing.
Sure it does. You just don't want to play the compliance game (I don't blame you). You missed your window to register a rifle. No sense crying over spilled milk. I think you made the hard to swallow, but logical decision considering. That doesn't help me if I don't want to go to jail.
That's a different story and the only point that you've made that I 100 % agree with. Also you seem to be forgetting that some had ar's before 2013 and could register or not, but what about those who wanted an ar after that date? There are only a couple options for them. Featureless or fixed mag or nothing.
Will do in 11 years when I can retire.Or Move![]()
Because I just realized that I got duped by all you fuckers.I know what you are saying has merit. I just don't understand why you are freaking out about this now.
Pick wisely grasshopper because the way things are going the gun friendly places are shrinkingWill do in 11 years when I can retire.
Are you now blaming others for your own decisions?Because I just realized that I got duped by all you fuckers.![]()

No. I thought I was a good boy and towing the line and then I see everyone registering all kinds of f****** AR pistols and s***. It pissed me off. I then realized that no one was really towing the line. or perhaps they were naive enough to think that they were still towing the line. No offense to you specifically. I'm saying this in general. Are you now blaming others for your own decisions?
I don't agree with the everyone using a fixed magI know deep down inside you guys know that what I'm saying is right and has a lot of merit. Why you are arguing it is beyond me.
But let's stick with the facts. no one here can protect their home with a fully-featured AR legally unless they registered it. If they do so illegally instead of using something else, they're stupid. Because they will be protecting themselves to go to jail.
And everyone here who is using a fixed magged rifle for home defense is an idiot. Better off with a mini-14 or a Kel-Tec or an SKS.
What would have been better is just to choose one AR or AK to register to go with you're registered pistol for home defense.
I think the remedy here is maybe just to build and register yourself an AR pistol. No?No. I thought I was a good boy and towing the line and then I see everyone registering all kinds of f****** AR pistols and s***. It pissed me off. I said for home defense. And I always had an AR mag nearby. With a 10 Rd limit, couplers work. You can also have them in pouches on your butt stock or stash them around the house.I don't agree with the everyone using a fixed mag for he is an idiot comment.
I personally have other choices, but consider this. Are you really going to have the foresight to grab extra mags? Maybe, maybe not. And if you are not carrying extra mags, there is nothing wrong with 10 rds of rifle compared to 10 rds of pistol ammo. It is extremely rare to have a malfunction in a fixed ar, and can also happen with a pistol.

I did that already. It burned me every time I looked at it so I dumped it.BTW, nobody told you that you had to register, build featureless, or fixed mag. Let's say there are 2 million ar's in NY. How many do you think are unregistered and non compliant along with preban 30 rounders. I wouldn't know, but the numbers are probably higher than I'd like to count.
You would be correct. I do consider people who don't have extra mags nearby as not being prepared. Not thinking through of potential disasters that could happen when you don't have access to another magazine.I guess by Will's logic everyone is an idiot that plans to use their CCW or other handgun on the nightstand for home defense because probably the great majority of these people realistically do not have an extra magazine to readily reload on hand with after 10 rounds are fired. It should also be said that anything with a spring in the magazine catch cannot possibly malfunction in anyway either, so it all makes perfect sense, really.
