InexcusableMarlin to make enough of em.
Tube magazines work better for rimmed cartridges. A tube magazine lay flush under the barrel and allows a greater capacity than a flush fitting box magazine. This is a useful feature for use in dense woods or underbrush. The 9mm is perfect for a 358 winchester. The key is the quality of the insert and how is intended.
In some other guns you have semi permanent inserts that you stick in the chamber with blue locktite but then
you have milder ammo that cycles w/o problems for the given magazine.
In reality I never fully understood tube fed lever guns specially with the type of bolt actions one has today with detachable magazines
and the whole nine yards. They are faster, more accurate, more reliable and repeatable.
I understand some folks like the cowboy style but for any practical and modern use why go back in time? so many options with lever action including straight pulls
and rapid actions. Also can be run w/o interference prone and from a bench unlike lever guns.

Lever guns in general are handier than bolt guns and the action is certainly faster than a bolt action. If I had a large property that I patrolled horseback it would probably be a lever action in a scabbard I would have with me. For HD in communist states like NY a lever action is not a bad option. Lever action rifles will probably be the last guns to be banned. Likewise in a SHTF situation a lever action slung over your shoulder is likely to draw less negative attention than most any othe long gun.
Lever actions are more fun to shoot than a bolt action.
Finally the lever action rifle is a uniquely American firearm, the heritage factor can't be denied.
Lol, my girlfriend saw this post and said to me that that is her kind of gun. I would love one of those as well.Im holding out for a marlin 1894sbl in 44 mag. View attachment 36336
Giraffes have long necks. The tubes can hold more rounds if the rounds are short rounds like pistol rounds. Then with popular high power calibers a small mag will hold about the same flush or more
slightly protruding. The advantage of the magazine is that it can be quickly reloaded and also use centerfire.
With a magazine one can also use better bullets ballistically superior w/o the problems presented by stacking in the tube.
If someone likes the lever that is one thing but we should not decide on a firearm based on what other people think or might not think about
how it looks. Eventually if they ban enough guns laws will have zero effect because people are going to keep them anyway and
disobey all these communist nonsense laws.
More fun to shoot is relative. It depends on how one shoots, what the objective is and how the firearm is conceived for the task at hand.
I don't think shooting a lever from a prom position or bench is fun. Well, it could be fun but it is totally impractical and unconformable.
That is why the bolt is a superior action in any scenario and if one wants a compact gun a handy bolt action carbine or scout might
be the ticket.
Most people think of the bolt action as one of two shot game hunting rifle but they forget how effective they are
if one trains with them like the mean it.

Not to mention it's much easier to clear a malfunction on a magazine fed bolt gun than on a lever with a tube. The tubes can hold more rounds if the rounds are short rounds like pistol rounds. Then with popular high power calibers a small mag will hold about the same flush or more
slightly protruding. The advantage of the magazine is that it can be quickly reloaded and also use centerfire.

Not really, same procedure as a pump shotgun. Not to mention it's much easier to clear a malfunction on a magazine fed bolt gun than on a lever with a tube.
