Hard to tell but looks like maybe a sharps receiver, but I don't see the cutout.
It is a Galil Ace in .308. So that makes it an IWI receiver. Which means it's an excellent receiver (it is). In fact the Ace is the best goddamn Kalashnikov you can get.

Ran a few boxes of Tulammo through it on Sunday,had one failure to cycle properly,friend was shooting so im not sure what the cause was.
I ordered a Red star arms trigger for it today,the factory trigger is U.S. made but the engagement surfaces are as smooth as the surface of the moon and not even square.

Installed the Red Star Arms trigger in my RAK47 tonight,still have to back the screws out and lock tight them but man when you get it set up right it make an impressive difference in the whole function of the trigger,for under $100 I couldn't be any happier,I am way too cheap to spring for a modular drop in group.
Set it up single stage,has a 3lb13oz. On a 5 pull average.

It just occurred to me I should consider a PTR 32 for exploitation of cheap 7.63x39 range fun.
Forgot to post this up in this Kalash section after I competed the assembly of my AK after we Cerakoted it. I had this color scheme planned for a long time now. I had been messing around with it in photoshop for a while. One night I had the idea of building a “What would happen is Sergei joined the FBI HRT team and ran an AK” build. I haven’t seen one quite like this with this kind of parts in these colors. I think we executed it really well based off of the photoshopped photos and love how it came out.

Sadly at this point I think your best bet is to get your hands on a parts kit, buy a Childers receiver and send it to Cw gun werks
Why would I get a SAM7 when I have two far superior milled AKs in the Galils. I want a lightweight stamped AK. Or what passes for lightweight in tge Kalashnikov world anyways. I'm willing to drop pretty large bucks on something nice, like that Krebs Custom Core rifle but I'd also be content with something cheaper, basic yet solid like a KUSA K103.

God I hate what we have to do here in NY. 10 round pinned mags, horrible stocks cause pistol grips and stocks will kill babies or something.

I tried to put my 10 rounder mags in the chest rig and belt, I was told in another thread by someone else that 30 round mags pinned to 10 is just dumb and standard 10 rounders work just fine its only a training issue.. guess I'll try again later and get some more training with the 10 rounders.
(Can't find my 4th pinned mag that's why there isn't one on the belt)

30 round mags have more material to grip for reloads so there's that.
ETA 10 round mags are a pain in the ass especially for AKs. I have exactly 1 10 round mag for 762 545 and 556. I might, MIGHT use them if I want to site a rifle off a sandbag or something.
