If Kay’s really had a no guns policy then good on the manager. They are private and can do what they want. I don’t like “no guns except for...” policies. It sounds like they didn’t have that policy and this dope made up his own so good on Kay’s for firing him.

I was at a gun shop the other day and a trooper spent over an hour there on duty with the tax payers car outside the entire time. He was a nice guy and kept letting others go in front of him. Said he was on company time so he wasn’t in a rush. I thought that was kind of lousy and

Quite honestly, I'd rather him be there or at a break room listening to his radio for a crime to respond to rather than out there revenueing and fishing. If they only responded to crimes in progress, we'd be in better shape as far as rights and harassment go.

I don't understand why you are putting the blame on the deputy here for things he has no control over. As a Sherriff's deputy he is likely very pro gun.
I will agree with an earlier point that it is best do conduct such business off duty while out of uniform.

I prefer to be in uniform as little as possible nowadays, even at work. Not every cop hater confines their hatred to their mommy’s basement keyboard. It is not worth the trouble of a gunfight, especially while off the clock. Why wear it?

Around here it is not common to wear the uniform even to and from work. We change at work. I know that isn’t the case everywhere, but it’s a strange concept to me.

I would NEVER park a marked police vehicle in my driveway or in front of my house. I’d even consider an unmarked risky.

I said that licensing for concealed carry is illegal despite what the judges have ruled and concealed carry was a useful tool to overthrow the government to get up close and shoot a government agent.

Your response was something to the effect of that concealed carry isn’t protected by the constitution and that I better hope that they do not pass social media background check laws because they will find what I said about overthrowing the government.

And in another post you said something to the effect of that AR’s aren’t needed for sporting purposes since other rifles can fill that role just fine.

Again, it would be a needle in a haystack to find that.

Well the Founding Fathers *did* expressly intend the 2A to facilitate the armed overthrow of the government should it become tyrannical. Which it has. That is why I ardently advocate for civilian ownership of any military hardware.
We are supposed to be organized into local militias partly for this purpose. Proper belt fed machine guns, tanks and all. Cyberwarfare tools also.
