I used to watch her and her husband. Off grid homesteaders they are. The more that I watched, the weirder they became. This woman lays prepping out in an easy to understand format
Gravity filter is fantastic for the price. Thanks!

Honey mustard dressing.Whats on it?
Looks like cheese.
Not that I don't love melted cheese.
Honey mustard dressing.
Incidentally all I do for the chicken is heavily coat some frozen chicken breasts in lemon pepper seasoning and stick two of em in my little air fryer for 19 minutes. Its surprisingly tasty.
I put them in a bag to defrost i the morning when I get home and by the time I wake up they are ready to prepare.
I love honey mustard with chicken. Goes really well with the lemon pepper. I can't believe how easy a meal it is to prepare. I should have been doing this all along."Looking good, BillyRay!"
Now you have me wanting honey mustard, lol.

Cooking in general is something I have been doing much more of since all the restaurants closed. I used to eat out almost exclusively.
I'm just starting out, I can't do much yet. IIts cheaper too.
And chicks dig a dude who can cook. Ask me how I know.
I am not planning on just meat for the duration.. Have fruit, Vegetables, beans, rice, pasta" The goal is 100 jars of canned meat and that could get 2 people by for perhaps a year ? ."
Even using qt. jars that wouldn't be much food each day. Each jar would have to last over 3 days! My wife and I use a LOT of pint jars, it's just the two of us and have found that a pint of venison or whatever over noodles or rice is just about right for us, it could be stretched for 3 but it's also only one meal. I would plan on a minimum of one jar per day and that doesn't include fruits or vegetables unless it's soup or stew.
Ex chinese wife huh? Almost married one myself.I am not planning on just meat for the duration.. Have fruit, Vegetables, beans, rice, pasta
I do have a flour mill (hand crank) but last year was a poor year for wheat protein wise . Come virus time most places had none to sell .. .. Will get some good wheat this year.... Plan on making sourdough bread .
Also plan on making pasta. .. That also was sold out a few months ago. Would like to get a torchio
Make homemade pasta. grinding durham wheat.
When my ex Chinese wife was growing up food rationing was the norm... Their family of 4 would get one chicken / month .. Sometimes 1/2 per month.
Botanically tomatoes are fruit. In a culinary sense they are vegetables.i am also researching getting into capsule gardening for next year.

That's my patio area, thinking about setting up planters for tomatoes, onion, green beens and peas which are some of my favorite veggies. (I know tomatoes are technically not vegetables, hush!)
Onions in particular are my red hot sauce: I put that shit in everything.

My father raised potatoes when I was a small boy. Kept some in the cellar for sale . Had a hand cranked potato grader and everything. We did have a coal furnace down there and also a Kalamazoo coal parlor stove in the living room .Because of the potatoes we could not run the furnace..So only the parlor stove heated the whole house. Mother slept with my brother and I in the living room as it was the only warm spot in the whole house. . My father was working nights then.. The Kalamazoo is still on my porch It was functional when taken out and nice looking . We had oil heat installed .back from google / utube .. Root Cellar its called
