They are good scopes. I just like (For me personally) a bit more magnification range given that one has the 1-8
but hey, if this works for you, these are your eyes, your rifle and your budget go for it.
the good thing is that you took the time to study it and to also look through them and evaluate features.
that is so freaking important because what it looks good to me might not look good to you and vice-versa.
Like I always say, our own eyes are the most important part of the whole optical system.
Yes, although my problem now is I am starting to notice degradation of my near vision. Well, this happens to everyone in their 40s no?
Far sight vision is still sharp though.
And I would agree that more magnification is always better however the 1-8 scopes carry their own drawbacks. The 34mm tube versions are mostly all very heavy while the few 30mm versions seem to suffer from "stuffing a quart in a pint" syndrome manifesting in severe limitations in either FOV or with very fiddly eye boxes. Everything is a compromise and while the Nightforce ATACR and Kahles Ki6 scopes had very little compromise in their spec they come at a price that is too high for me. This thread is approaching a year old already and still no scope on the AR! And I don't even have the orginal rifle I was talking about anymore!

I haven't even shot it yet. I'm kinda waiting till it's all setup the way I want. Also thinking of replacing the furniture with FDE stuff to mimic a certain Noveske model I always thought was sharp:
In the end I'm sticking to that Trijicon because I think it offers a good blend of the features I want for this rifle.

Though I would like to again say that now that I have some experience with the Bobro product I can say that the high reputation of the company's mounts are well deserved. The quality is just excellent.
Update, this is the scope I am going with:
KAHLES: Riflescopes
It's a mil based reticle, I favor the ring for fast acquisition at 1x. I will mount it with the Scalar Works QD mount. Despite some folks misgivings regarding the hinged rings the other features such as low weight, high strength and the snag free, lo-pro nature of it overcomes any issues with it.
Once my tax refund hits I will have the necessary fundage for everything.
The reason I am going with the Kahles is simply because I don't have to comprise on anything with that model. Its rugged, lightweight, has excellent optical clarity, FOV and a very forgiving eye box and also very bright illumination. Every other scope I was considering had some compromise in one of the above areas.

1-8 scope, the Z8i but its $900 more than the Kahles and I have really had to scrimp hard for it as it is!

She knows I don’t like my hands dirty jk lol. Wife thought it was our 10 year anniversary and told me to get what I wanted, so I did........she didn’t know it was only our 9 year anniversary lol. I would have told her but she always picks on me cause someone made us a plaque for our wedding with the date on it. Only way I remember the exact date. I made it up to her on our 10 year anniversary tho.
Got my refund, got the dosh, going home tomorrow. Gonna head over to Eurooptic tomorrow or the next day to get that Kahles on the DD. My preferred mount seems to be out of stock everywhere however I am eager to get that damn rifle scoped ASAP after so long so I will see what is available in store while I wait for that Scalarworks mount to pop up.
Just called Eurooptic and they have the Kahles in stock in the 3 different reticle styles I am considering and they also have a variety of mounts. I'm driving out tomorrow, this is finally going to happen. It needs to happen soon because I have a strong urge to buy another gun instead which is exactly what happened the last time I had the money for a nice scope: I bought the Galil instead. And if I don't get that scope soon I may find myself driving to SPAR Firearms for that 5.56 Galil pistol I have been hankering for.

It's a nice mount but it's too high. I'm just waiting for that Scalarworks QD mount to get in stock then I'll switch it out.
I had it mounted at Eurooptic but I just noticed the ridiculous cant of the reticle just now. The invoice indicates that they did not charge me for the service so I will not get too upset about it.
Glass on this thing is incredible though. I like the reticle too. The illuminton knob is a rehostat without clicks and I like that too. Illumination goes to a very bright high. In the pic its near the bottom of the range. Obviously a cell phone pic doesn't do it justice.
The scope came with a battery installed and with a spare. Here it is stored in the turret cap. Its held in place by rubber nubbins. Nice.
It was the floor model so I got a $300 discount on it. Made deciding on that particular reticle awful easy
