C'mon, I got a grand burnin' a hole in my pocket here. I'm going to LGS tomorrow to look at that RXP full size. So red dot on Full Size vs Compact silly or no?
Why? 4 moa dot? I dont see the benefit of having anything that big mounted on my slide.

Go for what they have. Only thing is you can't always change how the slide is cut if you want to change optics in the future. For a grand you can buy another slide for your glock have it milled for an rmr and buy the rmr.

Totally honest I don't have a carry yet (except hiking and to the range wink wink) but I like full size.
For a separate red dot purchase I like the Holosun refrigerator.

I suppose being a 320 I could always just swap tge FCG into a compact slide and frame later.
Then go for it. Cheaper than an rmr and you can cool your beers while you shoot.

I understand just don't agree. You made a good point earlier that the fcu can be swapped so not a total loss. Go for the full size and be happy sooner.

Is the Romeo 1 Pro really so bad? I know the Romeo 1 sucked but the Pro model is supposed have fixed that?
Not sure what they did with the pro to improve it durability wise but the standard Romeo 1 didn't even make it 600 rounds (sample size of 1)
I like the Romeo 1Pro on my P320 legion. Of course I have only put 500 rounds through the gun with it on (last Sunday) but it works well for me.
Also as of now, sig is assembling their own optics including red dots, all here in the USA
I think its actually a different optic. I know the Pro has a different mounting pattern and a removable steel shroud that fits over the sight eotech style. I also know that the Pro was tendered to the military as a companion optic for the M17. In general I think that Sig branded optics have improved over the past few years, much like some of their guns. I am completely sold on getting a Romeo 8T for the Galil as soon as I see one stock (rare as hen's teeth right now) and the 8T is gaining traction in both LE and MIL units. I am inclined to at least check out the Romeo Pro in the hopes tge have addressed tge issues of it's predecessor.
SIG at least has a record of improving initially flawed products.

Headed out to look at that SIG. However there is an equal chance, depending on availability, that I come home with an AK, M&P Shield+ or, with an very slight outside chance, 686+
Or a Romeo 8T should they have one (they won't)
The good news would be the shield+ uses standard shield holsters.
But I'd support more so AK or dot gun
