Titanium is way stronger than aluminum, so its less likely that those tiny screws will pull out.

New footprint is a fail
I can see this for people wanting to throw it on a PCC (sub gun) or even a really small .300blk rifle
Or even as an offset for an LVPO.
But yea on a pistol I don't see the point of the chevron over a dot

Opt. 1 -
This will likely be what I end up doing. Takes a lot longer but is the most "economical" option. Send existing slide out (Jagerwerks?) to be milled for RMR footprint. Anything else I should consider here?
Opt. 2 -
Purchase additional slide from Sig milled for R1P and use adapter plate to RMR. This would only take a week or so to accomplish but would be more $$. Thoughts on this?

Will the 509t-x2 work with an rmr plate?? I thought the 509t had a different footprint similar but not same to the acro p1/2

Question- with a cowitnessed optic is it possible to lift your line of sight, with your eye and not changing how you are aiming the gun, to get the dot off the irons and not change the POI?
In other words taking advantage of the zero parallax shift of a red dot to get the dot off of the front sight post and still have the bullet hit where you want.

That's how I understand it. The plate fits the RMR footprint.
Hmmm either option sounds like a decent way to go.. is the price difference a huge difference?? If not then why not 2 slides lol if it is then I'd go option 1 (Jagerwerks does great work)

I guess there is a third option. That would be to buy a second slide (~$250) and send it out to be milled (~$125) for direct fit of whatever optic. Opt 2 would be ~$299 for the slide already cut to R1P but then try to find a plate or send it out for modification. CHWS makes plate but it requires RMR pattern holes in addition to the R1P holes
I'm still not feeling the pistol red dot thing though I admit I shoot very little these days.
I will also admit I can get hits on an IPSIC silhouette @ 90 yards with the 320PXP. I don't get many hits mind but I can't hit anything at all with irons at that distance. However at ranges 25 yards and in I don't perceive much benefit.
Once I find a permanent range solution and I can afford the ammo I'll keep working on it but as it stands now I have no desire to put red dot on my go to defensive pistols.
I was about to check FCD and see if they also make a plate, but then remembered Rodger refuses to make anything that supports holosun directly.
As for the main question topic, this is one reason I'm not a fan of optic ready sigs as the company actively works to make sure that only their optics of choice are used (and extremely difficult/expensive to use some other companies dot)

Found a new slide from a Sig vendor. Comes with the suppressor height sights and the Romeo 1 Pro. I took it off and verified that the slide is also drilled and tapped for the RMR footprint. Ordered the Holosun 509t-x2.
