Nope. I only mention the lack of function due to fixed mags. All my posts about the subject say that. That's easily searchable for verification.

I don't know where you are getting legal scrutiny from my posts.

As far as people doing the best with what they have, I agree. I only respond to those that say you don't need this or that or that say a certain caliber or load does something that it doesn't.

These are the type of people that talk tough and angry behind a keyboard and monitor but follow the laws themselves out in public because they don't want to go jail. They aren't taking up arms against the lawmakers or the police that protect the lawmakers. They aren't open carrying full featured AR's out in public. They instead keep theirs hidden in the back of a closet never doing the aforementioned things they want us to do and belittle the guy who throws on a Spur Grip to go to the range to zero his rifle. When called out to do so, they respond with the "I'm not going to jail for you!"

They will not do anything they want you to do in front of a cop.

When I challenged him to do something and go to his local barracks, his whole tune changed and he started talking about if I was going to pay his mortgage and feed his kids or grandchildren.

Now he's here calling people lemmings who also have kids and grandchildren.

When I carry my 26 it rides along with 2 extra magazines. 31 total, feel kinda naked, lol, but I assure you, they'll hit what they need to. I feel much better with my 229-.357 but it's like dragging an anchor around, lol.

Speed strips are no comparison, lol, although I've wanted a wheel gun for the longest, it wouldn't be my choice to carry. That said, if needed, a nice small wheel gun as a back up would be cool.

Tell you what, it would garner more attention if it was a simple stop, and for no good reason they wanted the trunk opened and found the box and the arrest was truly a SafeAct arrest. It's not, and it's not that simple. As I mentioned, I can't help but feel there's more here that's not being told and is always the case.

I have no intention of running the risk of jail over this crap. That doesn't mean I need to ridicule someone else who does.

The way I look at it is that the risk from the cops of having that extra 5 rounds is much greater than the risk from the thugs from only having 10.

If you're really worried about a situation where you'll need more than 10 rounds, carry a couple extra mags, and some kevlar. That will serve you much better than an extra 5 in one magazine.

OTOH, maybe this guy wasn't carrying them around and this was a one time transport issue for him. Found a couple in a drawer that needed to join their friends after the rash of post SAFE boating accidents.

Either way, I will not fault him, even though I wouldn't have done things that way.

I will fault everyone involved from the government however. The crime the have collectively committed is far greater than anything he has been accused of. When the train you drive is scheduled to stop at Auschweitz you either call in sick, or you are as guilty as the guy turning on the gas.
