Sounds like hypocrisy to me. You are vocal about you not committing some type of action (Taking up Arms) that lands you in prison getting your shit pushed in by a racist group and thats fine and reasonable, yet when someone else is vocal about not committing a different action (Carrying a 15 rd Magazine) that lands them in prison, they are a "Lemming."
Which is it? The only difference between you and the other person as far as action goes is lengthy posts about liberty that mean absolutely nothing unless you actually do what you post about.

Taking up arms only works if the whole country is in on it and topples the whole government rather then a hundred or so people fighting one state. To do so in one state only is just symbolic martyrdom.

No one is happy the guy got arrested. We would want nothing more than to see him walk. What some are saying (myself included) is that he made an unwise choice.
It would be the same as a guy who decided to chop his 18 inch shotgun barrel down to 10 inches, remove his plug and load 8 rounds and think he will be okay to go duck hunting in Montana without a Hunting License. If caught by the game warden, he'll end up in cuffs.

This is why the safeact is going nowhere, people adjusted, got comfortable with it. So anyone that gets jammed up for something as harmless as having 3 magazines in the trunk, in a box can be tossed into the system and most here are okay with that, it's over.
So what if these were in a mailing box that maybe he was sending them to a friend or relative, you know so he could be doing the right thing, would that change anyone's mind?

That was addressed already. Aquittals happen for an innumerable number of reasons. Quite a jump from that to a vendetta, but ok.
Well I live and work in the area this happened. I drive home from work anywhere from 2am -4am, bars close in Niagara county at 2, 4am fo Erie, I have a 39 mile ride home through those two counties passing through 5 local pd jurisdictions plus both sherriff and troopers. I have been pulled over for "your vehicle matched the description blah blah", you took the corner very wide, you were weaving out of your lane, the list goes on and on. I laugh when they walk up, hand them my documents and say better luck next time, cause I ain't drinking, sometimes they get pissed, sometimes not.
I made a trooper get his supervisor there until I would roll down the window, he tailgated me for a mile with high beams on, had about 20 seconds of it on my phone then just pulled over, good times.

It probably was a DWI fishing scheme. The backroads of Northern Lockport are frequently traveled by drunk drivers trying to skirt the Transit area. I used to live in the area, off Gooding St by the cemeteries, and at least once every week there was some kind of DWI incident going on.

That has happened to me as well years ago more than once on the Palisades Parkway at 2am on the weekend on my way to work when I started the job I'm in now.
