The riots were writ in stone the second a black guy was killed by police. Details don't matter.
And the media narrative also won't matter when these cops are sent through court and, most likely, not convicted of anything. If it goes to trial the jury will have a chance to look at what's happening without all the bullshit.
They probably knew before they were even on scene who he was and his (very recent) gun charges and assaulting officers.
He literally tried to shoot up a bar in June or July but didn't know how to work a semi-automatic pistol. There was no round in the chamber and he ejected the mag accidentally.

Wisconsin statute 948.60 section 2a says under 18 is a misdemeanor.
There are some exceptions for hunting, etc, but nothing that I think would apply here.
The definition makes it clear that firearms are "dangerous weapons" and since it's not NY they mean firearms in the normal sane sense of the word.
